Heres a poem I wrote inspired by the book 'Heavens mirror'.

My house will be a temple attuned to the sun
On the sacred days of the year thy hall will become full of light
In subtle rhythm shall we coalesce
To contemplate and commune with concurring inner and outer realms
At thy sun's times and seasons.

Dance an illusion of my own making that began with thee
Who out of thy Unbegotten Self engendered my person

Just as the northern line is used in Oahspe to mark the beginning of the year, the sign of the Zodiac which the sun occupies on the day of the vernal equinox marks the astrological and astronomical age. It is thought the vernal equinox sun has now entered the sign of Aquarius (some disagree). Astrologists and science says it takes 25,770 years to go all the way around the celestial equator or Zodiac and cross at the same point again.
It's possible that the entry into the sign of Aquarius marked/marks the beginning of the next 24,000 year cycle known to Jim Dennon as a Gadol. In our current location in the scheme of things, this is the 3rd Gadol, which is the end of the 6th era (12,000 years each) which marks the end of 72,000 years Seffas (the entire history of Man) and the beginning of Kosmon, the new age.

Indeed a new generation of scientists are inferring that the Solar Phalanx, in tandem with a dark companion star, goes in a binary orbit that follows Kepler's law of eliptical orbits. Since the rate of precession is known to be currently speeding up, the time around the binary eliptical orbit will average out to be less. ie., 24,000 years.

The last editor's note after the Book of Osiris reads: -

"Fichtus of Haal refers to a 24,000 years period, as will be seen in another place, when changes take place on the earth. (see note 1.) It also refers to an average position of the North Star. (see note 2.)
And yet again, the same term applies to certain distances from the sun, where planets have orbits. It is by this rule that astronomers to this day judge of the place where a planet is likely to be discovered. (see note 3.)
The ruined temples of India and Eastern Persia suggest that, in the time of building, the astronomers of those days knew nearly as much of the heavens as we do today. Afterward these things were taught in Egypt, when the first pyramids were built. According to the rules in prophecy, these astronomical desires came to man every eleven thousand, and six and five thousand years." (see note 4.)

Note 1. Cataclysms were said to occur at every renewal of the precessional cycle.
In the east Brahma, Vishnu and Siva are associated with the creation, preservation and destruction of a cycle.
Stoic astrologer-philosophers were contemplating the concept of the great year, the idea of a long cycle of time (apocatastasis) often associated with the birth and destruction of the Universe before Hipparchus' discovery of precession. The Great Year was recognised to schedule the destruction of the world (ekpyrosis), followed by its regeneration (palingenesis).
In Madame Blavatsky's Secret Doctrine she (a contemporary of Dr. Newborough) says:
" let one acquainted with astronomy and mathematics take notes of the history of the peoples and nations and collate their respective rises and falls with what is known of astronomical cycles -- especially with the Sidereal year, equal to 25,868 of our solar years. He will find how the weal and woe of nations is intimately connected with the beginning and close of this sidereal [precessional] cycle.
Theosophists say "earth changes can take place at any point in the precessional cycle. Different constellations may favour different types of catastrophe."

Note 2. The North Star (Polaris) locates the north celestial pole about which the sky rotates. Due to a very slow apparent cycle of the earth's axis (like the wobble of a top), the North Star appears to rotate about a mean (average) position (the north ecliptic pole) over that period. The circle traced out by the North Star is also, I assume, the north star-belt of the ancients.

Some Definitions celestial sphere

Precession of the earth's orbit results in the need for epochs as a reference frame for the positions of celestial objects, that we might otherwise think would be fixed in place.
The equatorial coordinate system is completely defined when the two planes (equator and ecliptic) are specified, or equivalently, when the North celestial pole and the pole Of the ecliptic are specified.
The nodes of the orbit of a celestial body are the two places where the orbit passes through the base plane of the coordinate system . The node at which the object goes through the base plane from south to north is called the ascending node , and the node at which the object goes from north to south through the base plane is called the descending node .
Right ascension is the angular distance on the celestial sphere measured eastward along the celestial equator from the equinox to the hour circle passing through the celestial object. The angle in degrees above or below the Celestial Equator, i.e. the projection onto the sky of the Earth's equator. It is equivalent to latitude. Range of declination is from from zero to ± 90. It is measured along the hour circle passing through the celestial object.) Right ascension is usually given in combination with declination.
Declination is the angular distance on the celestial sphere north (+) or south (-) of the celestial equator to some object, measured in degrees, minutes, and seconds of arc along an hour circle passing through the object. The angle in degrees above or below the Celestial Equator (analogous to latitude), i.e. the projection onto the sky of the Earth's equator. Range of declination is from from zero to ± 90°. It is usually given in combination with right ascension or hour angle.
Celestial longitude is the angular distance on the celestial sphere measured eastward along the ecliptic from the dynamical (Vernal) equinox to the great circle passing through the poles of the ecliptic and the celestial object.
A conjunction is the phenomenon in which two bodies have the same apparent celestial longitude or right ascension as viewed from a third body (usually the center of the Earth). For Mercury and Venus, inferior conjunction occurs when the planet is between the Earth and Sun, and superior conjunction occurs when the Sun is between the planet and Earth.
Vernal equinox (First Point of Aries, spring equinox) is the ascending node of the ecliptic on the celestial equator. Its the point of intersection between the ecliptic and the celestial equator, where the Sun crosses from south to north. Its sometimes called the First Point of Aries because several thousand years ago it was in Aries. Because of precession it has now slid west into Pisces and in 200-300 years it will edge into Aquarius. By definition, the vernal equinox is at right ascension (alpha) = 0°, declination (delta) = 0° (the time at which the apparent longitude of the Sun is 0°).
The equinox happens at one of two points on the celestial sphere that represent where the Sun appears to cross the plane of the Earth's equator. From the Earth's viewpoint therefore, the Sun reaches one point at a quarter, the other at three quarters of the way through the sidereal year: the vernal (spring) equinox is thus on or around 21 March, the autumnal on or around 22 September. The actual points in the sky change slightly every year through a process called precession. Culmination (meridian passage) is the instant when a celestial object crosses the meridian.
A mean solar day is the mean length of time between two successive culminations of the Sun (i.e., the mean period from apparent noon to apparent noon).
The meridian is the great circle on the celestial sphere which passes through the celestial poles and the zenith of the observer.
The north point is where the meridian intersects the horizon below the north celestial pole.
The north pole coincides with the northern intersection of Earth's axis with the geoid.
Sidereal refers to planetary or lunisolar motions relative to the 360° circle of fixed stars along the ecliptic circle.
A sidereal day is the length of time between two successive meridian transits of the vernal equinox. Because of precession the sidereal day is about 0.0084 second shorter than the period of rotation of Earth relative to a fixed direction (23h56m4s.099).
A sidereal year is a period of time based on the revolution of the Earth around the Sun, where a year is defined as the mean period of revolution with respect to the background stars.
Azimuth is the directional bearing around the horizon, measured in degrees from north (0°).

Note 3. This refers to Bode's law, which roughly accounts for the position of most of the planets. Bode's formula is empirical, not analytical like Keplers laws, thus is said to be "not scientific". Kepler's laws assume a planet can exist at any orbit and given all the parameters, can define the shape and position of its elliptical orbit.
'Theories' that account for the planets (to do with the momentum and accumulation of gas and dust) are not laws and do not predict their positions. I got an interesting answer about how simulations of these theories can come up with predictions: -

Keplers laws assume that planets can be in any orbit.
How is it possible to predict a planet and its orbit from gravitational theory or other theories?

The particular position of planets around the Sun depends on the initial conditions of the solar nebula at the formation of the solar system. This is far too complex a matter to measure or predict absolutely. However we can run simulations.

Are there any analytical theories or are they all empirical, like bodes law (see below) that fits most of the planets in our solar system roughly?

The simulations are based on completely analytical laws, not half-baked ideas like Bodes *cough* law.

I have seen many various figures for the precession of the equinoxes (25,870 or 24,500 years etc.). Can science provide an exact figure (taken at the vernal equinox)?

Depending on what you mean by exact, yes. Can I? No.

[My reaction today]
A simulation is 'sort of' analytical. I imagine that it would be an iteration of complex analytical formulae. I wonder if they ever predicted any planets this way? It's hard to get a committed answer.

Note 4. 11,650 years is almost half of a 24,000 year cycle.
The monk George Syncellus from Constantinople (800AD), a source for Manetho's works and 'The Book of Sothis' which gives a list of Egyptian kings, says the Egyptian gods reigned for 11,895 years. Hancock associates this with a cycle which begins at Zep Tepi, the "First Time" at the start of Leo, in 10,800 BC. This is about 12,800 years ago, half a precessional cycle (25,600 years).
Jenkins identifies this cycle with the seasons of galactic alignment.
The 12,000 year Zoroastrian cycle, the "Time of Long Endurance" (Zravana-daregho-khadhata), gives the twelve constellations a duration of 1000 years.
The Hindu "age of the gods" (Maha Yuga) is 12,000 years.


The Sphinx lies exactly along the east-west axis of the Giza necropolis, its gaze set perfectly due east. On the summer solstice at the latitude of Giza, the sun rises 28° north of east. On the winter solstice, it rises about 28° south of east. The sun always rises due east on the equinoxes, providing an accurate reference to one of the cardinal directions. It is towards this reference point targeting the exact position of sunrise at dawn that the gaze of the Sphinx is set.
Megalithic monuments like Stonehenge, Chichen Itza, and Casa Grande are all aligned to the Vernal Equinox or the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere.

So if we observe the sign of the Zodiac rising on the dawn of the vernal equinox, then this marks the beginning of the annual cycle of the Zodiac with its signs that fortell the seasons.

precession of the vernal equinox Because of the very slow apparent wobble of the earth's axis, this marker will shift in the direction opposite the yearly movement of the sun; hence the name 'Precession of the Equinoxes". This precessional cycle is also called the Great Year or Platonic or Plato's year. It is divided into twelve ages (roughly 2,160 years each) and four seasons (the signs at the 4 quarters of the zodiacal wheel).
In order to understand the mythology of constellations we need to be aware of this apparent shift of the zodiac. Some myths connect a constellation with its time of the year, which may have changed by a month or two since the myth was first told. For very old myths, the shift may be three months or more.

The pyramids are assumed to have been built around 2500 BC, when Taurus housed the sun on the spring equinox, but because the Sphinx is a lion its date is speculated to go back to 10,500 BC when zodiacal constellation of Leo rose on the equinox dawn horizon. The constellation spans 30° along the ecliptic and housed the sun on the vernal equinox from 10,970BC to 8,810BC - a period of 2,160 years.
The Vatican reads every Christmas Eve from the ancient Calens (calendar) from Rome that it was the sixth age or the Piscean Age when Jesus was born. This makes Leo the first age in this great year, raising speculation about the Great Sphinx.

From about 2320 BCE until 160 BC Aries was the background constellation of the first day of spring. After 160 BC, due to precession, Pisces became the sign of the Equinox at dawn. Despite this, modern astronomers refer to the vernal equinox position of the sun today as the first point of Aries.

Four Seasons

The Four Seasons of the Great Year
At one time in history, the Vernal Equinox used to indicate New Year's Day until Julius Caesar moved it to January 1 in 45 BC. The names of our months still reflect March as the first month of the year. In Latin, Septem is seven, Octo is eight, Novem is nine, and Decem is ten.

The link below makes an interesting correlation of the 4 heads of the beast (that fall every 3000 years) with the Four Seasons of the Great Year. Notice the four heads of the beast (white letters) in the diagram (right).

The temple of Denderah in Hellenistic Egypt portrays the zodiac in a spectacular ceiling representation. Theosophists connect these signs with the Dendera (Egyptian) zodiac and precession: -
"The four seasons of the Great Year are marked by Egypt's four minor sphinxes, Ezekiel's four heads of the beast, Revelation's four cherubim, and astronomy's Taurus, Leo, Aquarius, and Scorpio (Abraham's Eagle) constellations."

The Mazzaroth tells us:
"the twelve tribes of Israel bore the twelve signs on their banners in accordance with the command of their father Jacob. Josephus informs us that the figure of a man (Aquarius) was on the standard of Reuben; a bull, Taurus, on that of Ephraim, who represented his father Joseph; a lion, Leo, on that of Judah; and an eagle on that of Dan.
These four cardinal signs where the two solstices and the two equinoxes took place in ancient times, that is, between BC 4000 and BC 2000, correspond with the four Cherubic faces, and the tribes which bore them were the leaders of the four divisions of the host of Israel, as arranged by divine command in the 2nd chapter of Numbers."

In Zarathushtrians and Hinduism I said: -

"Mithras was believed to possess a cosmic power. The slaying of the bull (or Osiris?) by Mithras is thought to symbolise the end of the 'Age of Taurus' brought about by the precession of the equinoxes." This depends on when Aries became the equinox rising sign which could have been as much as 600 years before Baal established himself. The overthrow of Osiris, whose sign of dominion was the bull could well be symbolised thus though.
Perhaps the zodiac and seasons of the world correlate to an unrelenting cycle of lower hadan Gods, ever shifting, who never see the light of Dan.

Recent claims by Robert Bauval, Graham Hancock and earlier Egyptologists say that knowledge of precession goes back before the Egyptians, though this has also been refuted.
In 128 BC the Greek astronomer Hipparchus wrote a paper on the shifing of the vernal point, estimated the rate of precession and proved the sphere of the stars moved. Later Greek writers admitted that this was known to the earlier Babylonians and Egyptians.

One source says: - "It has been demonstrated that the ancient Hindus understood the precession of the equinoxes and made the calculation that it [a complete cycle] took place once in every 25,870 years. The observation and mathematical precision necessary to establish such a theory has been the wonder and admiration of modern astronomers. They, with their modern knowledge and up-to-date instruments, are still quarrelling among themselves as to whether the precession, the most important feature in astronomy, takes place every 25,870 years or every 24,500 years."

In his book 'Heavens Mirror' Graham Hancock emphasises precession as being central to a wisdom cult going back to a time (10,500 BC) which strangely coincides with Osire's laying down of the Zodiac at about 10,350 BC. (I brought this to the attention of Graham in an email posted 14 Oct 2000 titled 'Osiris and 10,500 BC' after seeing his documentary 'Quest for the Lost Civilisation' and I posted his reply the Global council site soon after (see archives)).

Another point in Hancock's book alleges that Cambodia's Khmer civilisation at Ankor took the pivot of the universe to be the constellation Draco [the dragon or serpent (naga)], symbolic of their 'Naga cult'; Draco's centre being the North Pole of the ecliptic or pivot about which the wheel of the Zodiac turns every 25,920years.

When Thuban (Arabic name for Alpha Draconis) takes the position of the pole (due to precession) it aligns closer to the North Pole axis of our Earth than all of the other pole stars in the 'north star-belt '. It is also the only pole star in a Great Year to be in the exact position to shine down the Descending Passage of the Great Pyramid of Giza, because the Descending Passage is in true alignment with the North Pole axis of our planet.
In his book The Great Pyramid Decoded, E. Raymond Capt says, "the most precise alignment of the Dragon Star (Thuban) and the Great Pyramid occurred on the Vernal Equinox of the year 2141 B.C."
This is close to my estimation of the date Oahspe gives for the time of Thothma and the Great Pyramid.

Ye'a-Goo's compartment, and the place of the Holy Council, were in the midst; and her throne faced to the north, like the earth's vortex.

"Where is the red star? Is not this the young star, a satellite that traveleth with the Hidan sun?"

"Osiris said:
Thou shalt build a Temple of Astronomy, and dedicate it unto Osiris, Savior of men and angels, God of heaven and earth. And it shall be built square with the world, east and west and north and south. And the observing line shall be with the apex of the Hidan vortex, which lieth in the median line of the variation of the north star (Tuax)."

The word 'median' indicates something situated in the middle.
Therefore there are two ways I can think of that this can be interpreted:
1) The 'north star' could mean the pole star; the variation of the north star could mean the path of its course over the duration of a precessional cycle, which is the cycle about the pole of the ecliptic, which could be Oahspe's "north star-belt"; and the median line could mean the center (middle) of this cycle.

For this case, Draco's centre, the zodiacal pivot (north pole of the ecliptic), is likely to be the 'apex of the Hidan vortex' because it lies on the median line of the variation of the north star-belt.

The north pole of the ecliptic is in the centre of the north star-belt (the circle in the diagram, left). The North Star (the position of the celestial pole) was nearer Thuban in that time. The intersection of green lines in the diagram indicates the average, or mean position of the north star about the pole of the ecliptic. "Tuax" might be Thuban, the star that aligns closer to the celestial pole than all the other circumpolar stars. It varies (ie its course over a precessional cycle) by tracing out the circle in the diagram, and Thuban's average position is given by the intersection of the green lines, which is the pole of the ecliptic.

"The median line of the variation of the North Star, Tuax" might mean the line that goes through this intersection, the midpoint of the circle, which is the north pole of the ecliptic.

The north pole of the ecliptic is the center of the ecliptic circle (and zodiac belt) projected on the northern sky, which is equivalent to the north pole of the sun's axis. Therefore it could be thought of as being one end of the suns vortex, or the 'apex of the Hidan vortex'.

"Hidan Sun" and "Hidan Vortex" then refers to our own sun and its vortex.
Just as Ye'a-Goo's throne faced to the north, like the earth's vortex, the 'apex of the Hidan vortex' faces north also, which can be seen by the sun's poles.

2) The 'north star' could mean the pole of the ecliptic (a hyperthetical or unseen star, or center); the variation of the north star could mean its cycle about the celestial pole (this pole itself moving in a cycle); and the median line could mean the meridian, the north-south partition (middle) of the sky.

If the pyramid was built square with the world, and due east is given by the dawn on the equinox, then on this day the true north could be located by a plumb line raised between the north pole of the ecliptic and the north celestial pole (ie, along the meridian). The position of the north celstial pole could be found by setting up a viewing frame that locates the center of rotation of the circumpolar stars. qq

north star-belt Due to precession, Thuban was closest to the north pole in 2787 BC, when it was less than two and a half arc-minutes away from the pole. It was then that a North Star (star on or nearest the celestial pole) concept would have arisen. It remained within one degree of true north for nearly 200 years afterwards, and even 900 years after its closest approach, was just five degrees off the pole. Thuban was considered the pole star until about 1900 BC. At the time of Thothma [~2100 BC] and the pyramid Thuban would have been found to vary from the place of the north celstial pole.
The pole of the ecliptic, being the focal point of the ecliptic, could be found by charting the sky, plotting the course of the sun (which is also the mean circle of the zodiacal belt), and finding the center of its curve. Another viewing frame could then be set up to locate the focal point of the ecliptic, in tandem with the north celestial pole. The north celestial pole is stationary in the sky, but the pole of the ecliptic rotates about the north celestial pole, therefore the viewing frame of the north celestial pole needs to be aligned only once, but the postion of the ecliptic pole needs to be fixed with reference to easily observable stars so that when it reaches culmination the crosshairs can be fixed on this position at that moment.
With the two frames in place with cross hairs exactly over the position of the north celstial pole and the north pole of the ecliptic at culmination the plumb line hangs between the two, giving true north. Over the centuries, the position of the stars will be found to change, but not the true north (the north celestial pole position), or the pole of the ecliptic.

The slope of the Great Pyramid (51.827° or 51° 50'), is close to the upper culmination of the pole of the ecliptic. There is no explanation as to why the Pyramid builders chose this slope. Perhaps there was a siting frame extended from the apex towards the pole of the ecliptic. If so then the slope of the Great Pyramid itself formed the observing line.

Robert Bauval says:
"When an equinox is rising due-east on the horizon, the prime meridian or 'great circle' will loop directly above, passing through the north celestial pole and also through the pole of the ecliptic. The pole of the ecliptic is always on the prime meridian line when an equinox point is rising in the east. The pole of the ecliptic will be at upper culmination at the meridian (about 53.5° altitude) only when the vernal point (spring equinox) is rising due-east. [This is for the vernal equinox. During the June solstice, the upper culmination of the pole of the ecliptic happens at midnight, a more suitable time for observation.] When this happens, all the main 'stations' (or 'colures') of the sky (the two equinoxes and solstices) will be found in the four cardinal directions of the celestial landscape."

Since, again, the north pole of the ecliptic could be thought of as being the 'apex of the Hidan vortex', the 'median line of the North Star's variation (the lower and upper culminations of the pole of the ecliptic) could refer to the meridian.

The north pole of the ecliptic is the most fixed point in the sky available to a God who plans to stay for eternity, to fix an earthly base square with true north and the apex of the sun. If Thuban is the only pole star in the 'north star-belt' to be in true alignment with our planet's rotational axis, and hence, the star which shines into the Pyramid, this star is more likely to be Tuax.
Perhaps the observing line, the 'descending passage of the great pyramid', or the pyramid slope itself, does align with the apex of the Hidan vortex (the pole of the ecliptic). Bauval says the slope of the central pyramid (53 07' 48'), is less than 1° away from the upper culmination of the pole of the ecliptic. The three pyramids are set along the prime meridian of the sky.

flower of life Each day in any era the pole of the ecliptic rotates about the celestial pole due to precession. With the north-south median line established (the meridian) in 2787 BC to pass through Thuban and the celestial pole on the June (summer) solstice at midnight, we can chart this rotation on six different days each equally spaced over the whole precessional cycle. This will produce a 'Seed of Life' shape, shown left. The oldest example of the 'Flower of Life' (a simpler form of the 'Seed of Life') is found in the 'Temple of Osiris' at Abydos, Egypt. The center of this 'Seed of Life' is the pole of the ecliptic. The 6 circles that produce it (24,000 / 6 = 4,000 years apart) are centered on the north star-belt. flower of life

If the pole of the ecliptic is in fact "curving through space", due to the sun's motion about a binary star, we could chart this movement as a circular path of the ecliptic pole. Cruttenden says this is the cause of the movement of the celestial pole about the ecliptic pole (precession). If, also, 47 circles are drawn instead of 6 we get a torus shape (right).
We could call the center of this the, as yet, undefined North Star, and superimpose 46 sectors with outer circle as the North Star-Belt as shown below, left.

The sectors comprise the roadway of Cervorkum, as can be seen right.

Cevorkum is a geometric diagram of a circumference (the outer boundary of the roadway, ie. the dashed curve under the letters cevorkum) whose centre is very nearly the North Star. 46 segments divide the circumference, each having an ancient inscription. 47 circles are drawn whose centres lie on the circumference at each segment.
The position of the North Star is located by the intesection of the 2 arrows.

The extremes of the circles form an inner and outer boundary, the outer boundary of the roadway, (the segment outer circumference) being midway.
The inner boundary is the Etheic zero line (the ethe, or as Martha has suggested, the zero point quantum flux or Lorentz invariant ether). Midway between the Etheic zero line and the circumference is the line of actinic avererage.
There is a dotted line (d-d) below the circumference, the line of broken vortices and rays.
Half of each circle (a, a, a…) ascends to the Etheic zero line. The other half (b, b, b…) descends to the outer boundary.

The lines across the cevorkum denote a cycle of three thousand years, but over-drawn one thousand times in order to be apparent to the eye, i.e., one to 4,700,000.

A line at every 3000 years if multiplied one thousand times (a round number) gives:
3000 x 1000 = 3,000,000 years (about 4,700,000)
If the lines are over-drawn then the real number of circles is not 47 but 1567.

The ratio of 1:4,700,000 [One cycle of 3,000 years to 4,700,000] = 4,700,000 / 3,000 = 1567 circles
(which would be too many to draw in the diagram).

Then there are 4,700,000 / 72,000 = 65.28 measures in a circuit of cevorkum.

Description of Plate 52 reads:
"Zero (line of velocity), with the two arrows, and the parallel lines crossing, are the signs of the boundary to a vortex. The oscillations of a planet are shown in the curves."

The word 'oscillations' here must refer to the orbit of a planet, and/or its seasons. The angle of inclination of a planets axis makes an apparent swing, or oscillation relative to the axis of its sun during the course of one cycle. Therefore locations on the earth are subject to vertical rays according to their lattitude. Evidence for this is given by the following verses of Oahspe:

[This must refer at least to any number that is two-thirds of a cycle, regardless of the cycle‘s length. In the example given, for a cycle of three thousand years, the beast influence will fall heavily at 2000 years, which is 2/3s of 3000. –ed.]
Because in the coil of the cycle, observe that the distances are two-thirds of a circle, whether it [the distance of a circle as measured in years –ed.] is a hundred or a thousand, or three times a thousand.

Normally the sun has a north and a south magnetic pole. But for nearly a month beginning in March 2000, the Sun's south magnetic pole faded, and a north pole emerged to take its place. The Sun had two north poles. This was an effect of the solar cycle.
"The south pole migrated north and became a band of south magnetic flux smeared around the Sun's equator. By May 2000 the south pole had returned to its usual spot near the Sun's southern spin axis. In 2001 the south and north poles swapped positions to remain until the next cycle.
The current sheet inside the heliosphere is a sprawling surface where the polarity of the Sun's magnetic field changes from plus (north) to minus (south). An electrical current of about 10-10 amps/m2 flows there. The sheet is 10,000 km thick and extends from the Sun past the orbit of Pluto. The current sheet circles the Sun's equator like a wavy skirt around a ballerina. But during the double north pole event of March 2000, the current sheet waviness increased. Irregularities appeared. Its topology "morphed" from a ballerina's skirt to a giant seashell.

As Earth orbits the Sun, it dips in and out of the undulating current sheet. On one side the Sun's magnetic field points north (toward the Sun), on the other side it points south (away from the Sun). South-pointing solar magnetic fields tend to cancel Earth's own magnetic field. Solar wind energy can then penetrate the magnetosphere and fuel geomagnetic storms. An accurate daily map of the current sheet could predict the onset of these storms.
The current sheet is invisible and needs to be calculated where it is. measurements of the Sun's surface magnetic field are taken daily by telescopes on Earth. The program applies the equations of resistive magnetohydrodynamics to calculate how the electrified solar wind drags that magnetic field through the solar system.

The radial component of the electric current flowing toward the Sun is revealed in numerical simulation. The total strength of the radial current is 3 x 109 A. Field-aligned currents at the polar region of the Sun close the radial electric current. Thus, the surface density of the closure current flowing along the solar surface can be estimated as 4 A/m, and the magnetic field produced by this current is ~ 5 x 10-6 T (several percent of the intrinsic magnetic field of the Sun). This seems to mean that any treatment of the solar magnetic field generation should take into account the heliospheric current circuit as well as the currents flowing inside the Sun.

Solar wind outflow from the Sun causes the magnetic field lines originating from opposite hemispheres to extend radially outward and brings them together near the equatorial plane. These field lines are of opposite magnetic polarities, and thus the IMF must change sign abruptly within the narrow layer near the equatorial plane. This implies the presence of a thin sheet of a very high current density. The current circulates around the dipole axis in the same direction as the original current generating the dipole field. It is this heliospheric current sheet that separates fields and plasma flows from different hemispheres. Rotation of the Sun twists the interplanetary magnetic field lines in such a way that they take the shape of Archimedean spiral. Another effect of the rotation is warping of the current sheet plane into a structure that resembles a ballerinaís twirling skirt. Because of this warping, the Earth crosses the current sheet at least twice during each solar rotation (sometimes more than twice, if the current sheet is wavy enough). These current sheet crossings are observed at the Earth as crossings of interplanetary sector boundaries, when the polarity of the magnetic field changes its sign (as observed from the Earth).
The spiral form of the magnetic field lines means that there is a significant radial component of the electric current in the sheet, along with the azimuthal component. This point is illustrated right (top).
Solid lines show the magnetic field lines slightly above the magnetic equator whereas dashed lines correspond to those slightly below the equatorial plane. Obviously, the electric current lines should also be spirals (empty lines, top), thus possesses both radial and azimuthal components. The only way to satisfy the electric current continuity is to close the radial electric current by field-aligned currents at the polar region of the sun. This current closure leads to the three-dimensional heliospheric current system schematically depicted by Alfvén (bottom). Thus, the heliospheric current system produced by the Sun acts like a unipolar generator.
The three dimensional structure of the heliospheric current system obtained from a numerical model of the solar wind outflow with realistic intrinsic solar magnetic field is consistent with Alfvén's conceptual model.

About half of the stars in our stellar neighborhood come in twos, ie., binary stars. Why are there so many of them? Stars are so far apart that even if galaxies collide, the stars will mostly slip past each other unnoticed. Yet in our stellar neighborhood, about half of the stars come in twos. There are two possible explanations. The first is that the currents of space tend to run in braided pairs. Where these braided currents become pinched by their own magnetic field, a star will be formed in each of the two braided currents.
A second method for the formation of double stars suggests that when the charge gets so high that the surface of the star can no longer resist the electrical stress, the star will split into two stars in order to distribute the stress over a larger surface.

Compare these trajectories to the deviation from the road of travel of the vortex (wavy line) and the road of travel of the vortex (curve) shown below. Perhaps the trajectory of the Earth (which curves around our sun) is like the trajectory (the road of travel) of the vortex (shown below in Plate 68 as curve A-A), and the trajectory of the moon is like the deviation from the trajectory of the vortex (wavy line B-B). When viewed from the earth, the moon orbits it, but when viewed from the sun the moon goes in a wavy line. Therefore similarly for Plate 68, the trajectory of the vortex outer rim is circular, but from the view of the central sun's Sun (possibly the north star) it ultimately forms a braid with the road of travel of the Great Serpent.

Descartes vortex

The Copernican system replaced the Earth by the Sun as the center of the universe, but otherwise maintained a clear distinction between the Sun, and the "fixed" stars, distributed on the fixed, outermost sphere of the copernican cosmos.
This last concession to humanity's cosmic centrality was rejected by the generation of copernicans following Kepler and Galileo .
Prominent among them was René Descartes (1596-1650) who, in his 1644 book Principia philosophiae, put forth a model of the cosmos where the Sun is but one of many star, each of which having formed at the center of a primeaval vortex.
Descartes viewed sunspots as floating aggregates of etheral matter, accreted along the Sun's rotational axis, where centrifugal forces are negligible.

7. When as a comet (or nebula) the m'vortex hath not attained to an orbit of its own, it is carried in the currents of the master vortex, which currents are elliptic, parabolic and hyperbolic. Hence the so-called eccentric travel of comets.

18. Of external nebulae, of sufficient size to be self-sustaining, and to ultimately become planets, there are at present visible from the earth more than eight thousand. These are in process of globe-making, even as the earth was made. Of nebulae within the sun's vortex, where they are usually called comets, there are upward of eight or ten new ones every year. Some of them survive but a few months, some a few years; some a hundred years; and some even a thousand or more years.

Therefore, by the travel of comets the form of the master vortex can be known.
Mathematical theory suggests that most comets may come to the solar system from very far away, as far away as 100,000 AU. In this picture, the solar system is buried deep within the cloud. An AU is the distance from the earth to the sun and is equivalent to about 100,000,000 miles. Mars is 1.5 AU from the sun, Jupiter is 5 AU from the sun, and Pluto is 39 AU from the sun. So comets come from very far away indeed.

Comets are observed to come to the solar system from all directions, therefore the place where the comets come from is thought to be a giant sphere surrounding the solar system.
In 1950, Jan H. Oort, the Dutch astronomer who determined the rotation of the Milky Way galaxy in the 1920's, inferred the existence of the Oort cloud from long-period comets entering the planetary system. He interpreted comet orbital distribution with only 19 well-measured orbits to study and successfully recognized where these comets came from. Additional gathered data has since confirmed his studies, expanding our knowledge of the Oort cloud. The Oort cloud gave explanation to the age old questions: "What are comets, and where do they come from?"

Were the earth's vortex to be swallowed in the vortex of another planet, then the earth would be precipitated as a globe to such planet. Such is the case as regards double stars [binary stars], and triplets and quadruplets, especially where they are in contact. The same principle holds in regard to the vortices of some nebulae and comets; one is frequently swallowed up within another. But in such case the corpor commingleth.
23. In the case of regards double stars, and triplets, and so on, if conjoined, the center of gravitation (so-called) is not to each one, but to the intervening center between them. The polarity of such a group is as to the vortex. Think not, however, that double stars or triplets or quadruples are the limit of combinations in one vortex. There are clusters of planets , hundreds of them, thousands, and even millions, that sometimes occupy one vortex.

A Binary System Cycle as the cause of Precession

A simple way to produce all the same observables as lunisolar precession theory (a precessing equinox and changing pole star without any motions that are unexplained by classical mechanics) is a Sun curving through space in a binary system.

The cause that scientists give for precession appears to be imaginary. The current model for the Precession of the Equinox says that it is a slow, periodic conical motion (gyration) of the Earth's axis. It is due to the fact that Earth's axis of rotation is not perpendicular to the ecliptic but is inclined about 23°.5 and is thus affected by gravitational perturbations from other bodies in the solar system. The Moon and Sun pull harder on that part of the Earth's equatorial bulge nearest them than on that farthest away; this causes a torque which precesses the Earth's rotational axis.
General precession is said to be the sum of the lunisolar (the combined gravitational effects of the sun, moon) and the planetary components acting on the Earth's equatorial bulge that causes the Earth's axis to sway clockwise in a slow circle (precess), like the motion of a spinning top.
[Planetary precession is the component of general precession caused by the gravitational coupling between the center of mass of the Earth and that of the other planets. The effect of planetary precession is to move the equinox eastward by ? 0".11 / year and to diminish the angle between the ecliptic and the equator by about 0".47 / year.]

A recent study of Precession questions the extent of lunisolar causation and proposes an alternative solar system model. The current (standard) model was theorized before there was any knowledge of the life cycle of stars, or awareness that some stars are non-visible and could thereby exert unseen gravitational influence and before knowledge of binary prevalence or binary star motions.
The idea of a single sun with lunisolar wobble causing precession was developed at a time when the Sun had replaced the Earth as the center of the solar system and the Sun was thought to be fixed in space. Consequently, any theory had to be based solely on movement of the Earth. Although, it has stood for almost 500 years with only minor changes, it fails to answer a number of well-documented solar system anomalies:

Precession of the Equinox is the observed phenomenon whereby the equinoctial point moves backward through the constellations of the Zodiac at the rate of approximately 50 arc seconds annually.
The entire precession cycle time is 25,770 years, although evidence indicates it is declining.

seasons Some years ago it was observed that if the Earth's axis did wobble due to lunisolar forces it would slowly change the seasons within the calendar. For example, in the Northern Hemisphere it would eventually become winter in July, and summer in January.
This is because the seasons are indirectly caused by axial tilt (summer when that hemisphere leans closer to Earth, and winter when it leans away). Therefore, if the axis were tilted for any other reason, such as lunisolar wobble, it would cause a seasonal shift.

Noticing that the seasons have not been changing (the equinox still falls at the same time in the calendar each year after synchronizing the Earth's rotation with the calendar), lunisolar precession theory requires that the equinoctial point itself must precess around the Earth's orbit path around the Sun. This theoretical solution avoids the occurrence of seasonal shift that the original theory implied, but causes other problems because it implies the Earth does not complete a 360° motion around the Sun equinox to equinox.

Tilt To visualize the movement, if the Earth's path around the Sun were made of 24,000 fixed positions numbered 1 through 24,000, then in year one the vernal equinox would occur in position 24,000, the next year it would occur in position 23,999, the next year it would occur in position 23,998, etc. slipping one position per year. At the end of 24,000 years, the vernal equinox would have regressed all the way around the Sun to occur once again at its original starting position.
Lunisolar precession is believed to cause the Earth's axial gyration that results in the Earth's changing orientation to inertial space, observed as Precession. The theorized annual axial tilt of about 50 arc seconds per year is thought to cause the equinox to occur slightly earlier in the Earth's orbit path around the Sun, resulting in an orbit geometry of 359° 59' and 10" equinox to equinox.
While this avoids the problem of seasonal shift it does not agree with lunar cycles which indicate the Earth does indeed travel 360° around the Sun in an equinoctial year. This can be proved by carefully examining lunar cycle equations and eclipse predictions. Eclipses have been accurately predicted long before lunisolar precession theory required the Earth to be approximately 22,000 miles short of a complete revolution around the Sun.

In the Binary model, our Sun curves through space. This motion of the Sun causes an apparent wobble to an observer on Earth, thus producing a precession of the equinox without creating any seasonal shifting issues, and without requiring any movement of the equinoctial points on the Earth's orbit path, thereby allowing the equinoctial year to which we adjust UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) to reflect a 360° motion of the earth around the Sun.

The Binary Star Model of the Solar System (Solar Vortex)
According to Newtonian physics the only force that could cause the Sun to display such a curve would be another large mass to which the Sun is bound, a binary star system. The 'Copernican Third Motion of the Earth' (wobble) would be caused primarily by the Sun's curved path in a binary orbit, rather than by lunisolar forces.
The Earth rotates in an almost circular orbit around the Sun, which in turn is an elliptical orbit around the binary center of mass of the Sun and a companion star. If the Earth's orbit and the Sun's orbit are given, then the equations of classical mechanics predict that the axis of rotation of the rotating Earth will precess (relative to inertial space) at a rate dictated by the Sun's path around its binary center of mass. To an observer on Earth the axis will appear to precess by 360° in the same amount of time it takes the sun to undergo a complete orbit around the binary center of mass of the Sun and companion star, independent of the masses and distances involved. The Earth's axis does not really wobble, or change relative to the Sun, but the observed apparent precession-like effect is the same as that attributed to lunisolar precession.

Acceleration of Rate of Precession
The annual precession rate increased over the last 100 years. The acceleration (and eventual deceleration) of the rate of precession will depend on the eccentricity of the binary orbit.
From Kepler's Third Law, we know that all orbits are elliptical and objects leaving apoapsis (the point in an orbit when the two objects are farthest apart. The opposite of periapsis) accelerate to periapsis and then decelerate leaving periapsis. Consequently, we now have an explanation for why the precession rate is accelerating, and we also have a logical reason for why the rate cannot be extrapolated ad infinitum . Indeed, the most significant clue that precession represents a binary orbit is its universally recognized but until now, unexplained acceleration.

In a binary relationship model, precession rate waxes and wanes with the elliptical orbit of our Sun around its binary center of mass. Precession 100,000 years ago would be about the same as today because it would be cyclical. This is in keeping with the accepted Milankovitch (Precession) Cycle.

Angular Momentum
Since the majority of stars form in multiple system relationships, it is likely that our Sun is also in a binary or multiple system relationship.
The angular momentum distribution of our solar system is a problem that has frustrated attempts at developing a reasonable theory of how the solar system developed. This problem disappears using a binary model as the Sun's angular momentum is now proportional to its mass, along with the other planets (the angular momentum balances). A binary star model explains the unusual distribution of angular momentum and why the Jovian planets have most angular momentum when the Sun (which has less than 1%) has most of the mass. In a binary model the Sun's angular momentum is not just in it's spin axis but also in its movement through space.
The binary model might also help explain why certain long-cycle comet paths are concentrated in a non-random path, without requiring the existence of a tenth planet or huge quantities of dark matter within the solar system. Recent findings that our solar system has an unusual sheer edge just beyond the Kuiper Belt is now explainable, and expected in a binary system since mass is separated between companion stars. This is surprising for a single sun system.
Our Sun is allegedly part of a binary system, gravitationally bound to another star, likely a dark companion, which is estimated to be 1000 to 4,000 A.U. distant [Pluto is 39 AU from the sun].
The Sun's path currently curves at about 50.29 arc seconds per year (one degree every 71.5 years) around its apparent binary center of mass, and the Sun is now accelerating, at the approximate rate of 0.000349 (arc seconds per year) per year.
The binary orbit plane is expected to be the same as, or within a few degrees of the angular momentum plane of the solar system.
The Earth's changing orientation to inertial space (as required by any binary orbit of our Sun), can be seen as Precession of the Equinox. This fact has been masked by the lunisolar explanation of precession.

The current apparent binary orbit speed is one cycle every 25,770 years, but due to acceleration (as we move away from apoapsis), is expected to average approximately 24,000 years per complete orbit. Models based on Kepler's Law for elliptical orbits appear to predict the changing precession rate better than current wobble theory.
The third motion of the Earth (wobble) does exist as an observable phenomenon, but not as axial movement relative to the Sun. Independent axial movement is probably limited to nutational nodding and Chandler wobble.

Equinoctial Slippage
Lunisolar wobble required the pole to move by about one degree every 71.5 years based on the current precession rate, hence the pole should have moved about 6° since the Gregorian Calendar change (420 years ago), thereby causing the equinox to drift about 5.9 days. This has not happened; the equinox is stable in time after making leap adjustments. Therefore, it was theorized that the equinox must slip about 50 arc seconds per year along the ecliptic and the equinoctial year is only 359° 59' 10" not 360°. Although this solves the seasonal slippage problem it does not agree with lunar cycle data.
Astronomers sometimes use a 360° geometry to describe the Earth's motion around the Sun, and they sometimes use 359° 59' 10". The 360° motion works for calculating the Moon's position, eclipses, Saro's cycles and the like, but the lunisolar model of 359° 59' 10" works best for calculating the position of stars, quasars, and other extra solar system phenomena.
[Saros Cycle is the interval between two similar eclipses (every 223 lunar months or 6,585.32 days) when the relative angles between the Sun, Moon and Moon's nodes repeat to within a degree.]
In other words the lunisolar model works fine relative to the fixed stars but the other works well for purposes where the position of the fixed stars do not matter. Although both are useful for various calculation purposes, there can be only one physical reality and therefore only one geometry. The only model that works for both is one in which the entire solar system is curving through space at the rate of about 50 arc seconds per year. In this way, the Moon can travel with the Earth, the Earth and Moon and Sun can keep the integrity of their mathematical relationships, and the Earth can still appear to precess relative to the fixed stars.
If one assumes the cause of the equinoctial point slipping backward around the Earth's orbit path at a rate of 50.29 arc seconds per year is due simply to the Earth wobbling at this exact same rate, then one must look deeper and realize that this implies the barycenter (center of mass) of the Earth stays the same with each 360° motion of the Earth around the Sun, and the reason the equinox happens earlier and earlier is because the Earth's axial shift has caused the equinoctial position to appear earlier and earlier. This would mean that the center of the Earth travels exactly 360°, or once around the Sun each equinoctial year.
Sidereal vs. Solar Time
Because the equinoctial year is now presumed to be less than 360° (by the amount of precession) and only the sidereal year is presumed to represent a complete 360° motion of the Earth around the Sun (supposedly this is why we line up with the same stars in a sidereal year), then the barycenter to barycenter motion of the sidereal year would have to be more than 360°. If the slippage is not due solely to precession then why is the delta (time difference) between an equinoctial (solar) year and sidereal year attributed to precession, and why does the barycenter of the Earth slip at the same rate as precession? If the delta between a sidereal day and a solar day is compensation for the curvature of an orbit (per textbooks), so too is the delta of a sidereal year vs. a solar year compensation for the hypothesized orbital motion of our solar system.
The former is the orbit of the Earth around the Sun, the latter, the Sun around its binary center of mass. Just as the Earth's delta between a sidereal day and a solar day times the Earth's orbital period is equivalent to the daily rate of change around the Sun (4 minutes x 365 = 1 day), so too should the Earth's delta between a sidereal year and a solar year times the Sun's orbital period be equal to the annual rate of change around its apparent binary center of mass (20 minutes x 25,770 years = 1 year).

Is Planet X the Brown Dwarf Star?

There are those that have taken the idea of a binary system further, saying the brown dwarf star is Planet X, the rogue planet "Nibiru", or suns dark twin that lies toward the Orion galaxy, linking it to the Red or Blue Star of the Hopi Indian prophecy, and Mother Shiptons 'Fiery Dragon'.

General precession theory suggests the axis of the Earth has rolled in a great circle in a counter clockwise direction so it now points to a location near Polaris.
If it were actually the Earth's axis that were moving around the circle, then star catalog positional data over time should show the movement.
By using location data from the U. S. Naval Observatory's "Multiyear Interactive Computer Almanac" (MICA) 1990-2005, one can precisely layout the location and motion direction of circumpolar stars relative to Earth's North Pole.
The movement is NOT seen to roll or wobble of the Earth's axis. The stars do not move in the same direction as the roll, but instead reflect a spinning motion, or rotation around the small cross circle near Star 659 and Omega Draconis, which is also the axis of the Ecliptic. This spinning rotation is similar to what is observed on a daily basis as the Earth's diurnal rotatation about the North Celestial Pole near Polaris. This is indicative that the Earth's axis is NOT moving in the wobble that general precession theory asserts, but remains relatively stationary as one would expect of gyroscopic stability, but rather the orientation of Earth's axis is moving because of the rotation of the Solar System.
We might assume a larger body is rotating about a center of Mass which is the axis of the Ecliptic for the entire Solar System.

saturn sun We already know that the Sun orbits the Center of Mass and is not the Center of Mass. There could be a Saturn size body orbiting the Sun in a nearly circular orbit. The Sun then, would orbit around the center of mass (as do all the rest of the planets), opposite the Saturn size body. The Sun would drag the orbits of the Earth and other inner system bodies around with its orbit. We would observe the rotation and see the stars move slowly, like a Procession of Equinoxes, because of the Earth's stable axis and stationary tilt. The stars would appear to rotate around a point at the Center of Mass, because the earth's tilt is stable, which is what we would expect from gyroscope motion observations.
The North Pole would appear to move just as the general theory of precession predicts; that is, it would appear to have moved from pointing at Thuban in the past, to pointing currently at Polaris and onward around the 47° diameter circle.

Was the Year Once 360 Days?

Is the ancient 360-day year calendar the basis for the geometric division of 360° in a circle? There are those who claim the earth is slowing down, but the evidence does suggest the earth has increased its rotational speed from times past and the moon has decreased its orbital period.
All ancient calendars throughout the world once used 360 days in a year and added days to the year thereafter. It is reasonable to assume the ancients were able to count the days accurately between solstices. The rotation and orbital periods of the Earth and Moon are not uniformly constant from the beginnings of recorded memory.
The Book of 1 Enoch, the Qumran Calendar Scroll from the manuscripts of The Dead Sea Scrolls and Mesoamerican calendars tell us there were 364 days in the year at the time of their composition..

Thuban was the pole star prior to 2700 BC in pyramid age. Archeologists have determined that several structures in Egypt were set up to align with Thuban at that time. If structures were aligned to the North Pole to point at Thuban, then today they would simply point to Polaris. Thuban is a star in the constellation "Draco". If it were the pole star in ancient times, it would retain the present 23 1/2° tilt to the ecliptic.
The axis may have changed orientation from Thuban to Polaris; there seems little reason to doubt it, since there is no question Polaris appears to be moving in a path of rotation, over time. Does the axis gradually move over the course of 26 thousand years or is there some other mechanism that appears to have moved the axis.
Gyroscopic precession, due to impact could have changed the Earth's axis orientation from the center of Draco and nudged it to a point near Thuban in a matter of days to remain in its present orientation ever since, and still, another mechanism may operate to make the axis appear to be traveling in rotation, currently to point at Polaris as observations of stellar motion suggest.

Anyone that has ever seen a spinning top knows, the friction of that surface restrains the bottom axis and the wobble only occurs as the top slows its spin to the point of instability. The southern axis of the Earth is not restrained, however, and the rotation speed seems empirically constant at this time, and has increased if ancient calendars correctly record a change in rate from 360 days to 364 days and now to 365 1/4 days in the year. An increase of over one percent.

The Persians invented astrological time, and describe the series of millennium reigns of the signs of the Zodiac to be 1000 years each; not 2166 years. The time of the Great Year in the Persian scheme was for 12,000 years and not 26,000. This information is preserved in their sacred document of Creation, the Bundahishn .

Ohrmazd created the Time of Long Endurance [Zravana-daregho-khadhata], which is reckoned to be of 12,000 years. He connected therewith the celestial sphere, its chart and the heavens. As to the twelve constellations which are fixed in the sphere, every one of them has its duration for 1000 years. The spiritual work was accomplished in the period of 3000 years. Aries, Taurus, and Gemini completed this work -- each in one constellation of 1000 years.
On account of the truthfulness he saw on Ohrmazd, Ahriman could not move about for 3000 years, so that during these years the work of this world was accomplished. The promotion of the world devolved on Cancer, Leo, and Virgo.
The Arabic historians state that the Zoroastrian texts were copied on 12,000 cowhides.

1. Ohrmaz created the Luminaries, between the Sky and the Earth; the stars of the constellations and also those which were not of the constellations, then the Moon, and then the Sun.
2. As He first created the firmament; the stars of the constellations were fixed thereon, especially these twelve, whose names are: the Ram, the Cow, the Twins, the Crab, the Lion, the Husk of Corn, the Balance, the Scorpion, the Centaur, the Goat, the Pot, and the Fishes, which are subdivided into twenty-eight …

The Pole Of The Ecliptic

The MIT scholar Giorgio de Santillana believed that the ancients perceived the pole of the ecliptic as the centre of a 'whirlpool' in the sky'. (Hamlet's Mill, p.239). Robert Bauval, in his website "The Anchor Of The World" asks, "did the pyramid builders of the Old Kingdom use the pole of the ecliptic"?

That the Egyptians knew about the precession of the equinoxes is stated by Proclus in his commentary to Plato's Timaeus. Many interpreters have understood a passage of the Timaeus (39D) as dealing with the precession. The famous passage of Plato's Republic (VIII, 546B) dealing with the Cosmic Number, often called Nuptial Number, has been traditionally interpreted as a reference to the time in which the Celestial Pole makes a circle around the Pole of the Ecliptic.

A city which is thus constituted can hardly be shaken; but, seeing that everything which has a beginning has also an end, even a constitution such as yours will not last for ever, but will in time be dissolved. And this is the dissolution:--
In plants that grow in the earth, as well as in animals that move on the earth's surface, fertility and sterility of soul and body occur when the circumferences of the circles of each are completed, which in short-lived existences pass over a short space, and in long-lived ones over a long space. But to the knowledge of human fecundity and sterility all the wisdom and education of your rulers will not attain; the laws which regulate them will not be discovered by an intelligence which is alloyed with sense, but will escape them, and they will bring children into the world when they ought not.
Now that which is of divine birth has a period which is contained in a perfect number, but the period of human birth is comprehended in a number in which first increments by involution and evolution (or squared and cubed) obtaining three intervals and four terms of like and unlike, waxing and waning numbers, make all the terms commensurable and agreeable to one another.
The base of these (3) with a third added (4) when combined with five (20) and raised to the third power furnishes two harmonies;
the first a square which is a hundred times as great (400 = 4 X 100), and the other a figure having one side equal to the former, but oblong, consisting of a hundred numbers squared upon rational diameters of a square (i. e. omitting fractions), the side of which is five (7 X 7 = 49 X 100 = 4900), each of them being less by one (than the perfect square which includes the fractions, sc. 50) or less by two perfect squares of irrational diameters (of a square the side of which is five = 50 + 50 = 100);

Now this number represents a geometrical figure which has control over the good and evil of births. For when your guardians are ignorant of the law of births, and unite bride and bridegroom out of season, the children will not be goodly or fortunate. And though only the best of them will be appointed by their predecessors, still they will be unworthy to hold their fathers' places, and when they come into power as guardians, they will soon be found to fall in taking care of us, the Muses, first by under-valuing music; which neglect will soon extend to gymnastic; and hence the young men of your State will be less cultivated.
In the succeeding generation rulers will be appointed who have lost the guardian power of testing the metal of your different races, which, like Hesiod's, are of gold and silver and brass and iron. And so iron will be mingled with silver, and brass with gold, and hence there will arise dissimilarity and inequality and irregularity, which always and in all places are causes of hatred and war. This the Muses affirm to be the stock from which discord has sprung, wherever arising; and this is their answer to us.
And what do the Muses say next?
When discord arose, then the two races were drawn different ways: the iron and brass fell to acquiring money and land and houses and gold and silver; but the gold and silver races, not wanting money but having the true riches in their own nature, inclined towards virtue and the ancient order of things. There was a battle between them, and at last they agreed to distribute their land and houses among individual owners; and they enslaved their friends and maintainers, whom they had formerly protected in the condition of freemen, and made of them subjects and servants; and they themselves were engaged in war and in keeping a watch against them.
I believe that you have rightly conceived the origin of the change.
And the new government which thus arises will be of a form intermediate between oligarchy and aristocracy?
Very true.
Such will be the change, and after the change has been made, how will they proceed? Clearly, the new State, being in a mean between oligarchy and the perfect State, will partly follow one and partly the other, and will also have some peculiarities.
True, he said. In the honour given to rulers, in the abstinence of the warrior class from agriculture, handicrafts, and trade in general, in the institution of common meals, and in the attention paid to gymnastics and military training--in all these respects this State will resemble the former.

Plato's Republic
If the precession and its rate was known to Plato, this information must be of pre-Greek origin, since the Greeks of that age certainly did not have the means and the organization to proceed to the necessary astronomical observations.
The Czechoslovakian Egyptologist Zybnek Zaba refuted Otto Neugebauer's assertion that Egyptian science was of such low level that they were unaware of precession. He presented evidence that supported the position of Russian scholars who were critical of Neugebauer's assumptions.

The spear's head divided the seven stars of the Thigh (Ursa Major) constellation into groups of three and four stars. This line defined by the spear, argued Stecchini, does not indicate the meridian passing through the north celestial pole at all, but the meridian passing through the pole of the ecliptic.
Zába refered to Egyptian astronomical charts showing a hawk-headed man with upraised arms holding a line in his hands. Wainwright demostrated that this figure, called Dwn-'nwy, "he who unfolds two wings," represents the crosslike appearance of the constellation of the Swan (Cygnus), called Ornis, "the Bird," by the Greeks. The name of Northern Cross is given to six stars of this constellation.

First, Ormazd was, and He created all created things. He was All; He is All. He was All Round, and put forth hands and wings. Then began the beginning of things seen, and of things unseen.

Hands and wings here seem to represent the potential of corpor and spirit (or realm of the mind) respectively, opposites that come into being (see Symbol of the Farohar).

The same revelation applied even long after Zarathustra. Osiris seems to have limited it from 'All' and 'All Round' into an egocentric, romanticised view whose standpoint sees the Earth and its sky as bearing the sun and the zodiac.

"For I was a globe, boundless as to size, and swift as to motion. And I put forth a wing for flying, and a hand for labor. And I made heaven and earth with wings flying forth, bearing the serpent and the sun. Square with the world, and circumscribed, have I made all things, good and powerful. And in man's hand I placed the key to unlock the mysteries of the firmament of heaven."

The line held by the constellation of the Swan ends with an arrow point at a position that divides the seven stars of the Great Bear or Thigh (Ursa Major) into the four stars alpha to delta and the stars epsilon to eta. The meridian was defined by the star alpha Cygni (Deneb) and by a point between epsilon and delta of Ursa Major.
Zába realized that the line held by the constellation of the Swan is a meridian. This is shown best of all by the chart in the Tomb of Ramses V, in which the line held by the hawk-headed man divides the chart of the sky at the middle. If the Egyptians traced a meridian in the sky, they must have become aware of the precession of the axis of the world.
Zába did not see that the configuration of the meridian indicated a specific year (2787 BC), the year in which the Alpha Draconis was closest to the Pole (5' from the Pole). This star was the polar star in early Egyptian history.

In the sky charts the hawk-headed man holding a line that aims at the middle of the Ox-leg (Ursa Major) appears a part of a group of figures that usually occupies the central position, the position corresponding to the meridian and to the pole. A prominent element of this group is the Hippopotamus (Draco). It is presented as holding a chain that ends at Ursa Major. This reflects the situation that existed when Alpha Draconis was the polar star and the Great Bear moved around it, the chain consisted of the three stars lambda, kappa and alpha Draconis, linking the Great Bear with the Pole. But the meridian passing by alpha Cygni and alpha Draconis has the unique charateristic of passing very close to the Pole of the Ecliptic. This explains why it remained the basic meridian throughout Egyptian history and is reproduced in charts of the Roman period. The Hippopotamus does not represent only the Celestial Pole of 2787 BC, but also the permanent Pole of the Ecliptic.

The ancient Egyptians not only understood the precession of the equinoxes but also knew that the true meridian is the one passing through the pole of the ecliptic.
The pole par excellence for the Chaldeans was the pole of the ecliptic.
It crosses the meridian twice each day ie. upper and lower culmination.
The Earth tilts 23° 26' from the plane of the ecliptic. This angle, however, changes fractionally in cycles of 40,000 years from a minimum of about 22° 6' to a maximum of about 24° 30' due to a phenomenon known as the obliquity of the ecliptic.
The angle of tilt has been steadily decreasing since the beginning of recorded history (3500 BC), at the average rate of about 40" per century. In 2500 BC, when the construction of the Giza pyramids began, the tilt of the earth's axis was 23° 58'.
The Giza pyramid site is at latitude of 29° 59', which means that the north celestial pole of the sky was at an altitude of 29° 59'. Calculations show that during the Pyramid Age, and as seen from the latitude of Giza, the pole of the ecliptic would have had its upper culmination at the meridian at an altitude of 53° 57' (29° 59' + 23° 58').

The pole of the ecliptic drifts away from the fixed star field at a very much slower rate of 0.4 arc seconds per year, that is 50 times slower than the drift of the north celestial pole and thus is the real focal point of the sky. The pole of the ecliptic will only displace itself a mere 2.5° over its 40,000 years cycle.
The North celestial pole drifts away from the fixed field of stars at the rate of about 20" arc seconds. It will keep on drifting from the fixed star field up to a full 47° (about one quarter of the visible sky field) over its 26,000 years cycle
Due-east defines the rising place of the equinoxes. The east-west axis serves for the observation of the rising of celestial bodies in the east whereas the north-south axis serves for the observation of the culmination of celestial bodies north and south at the meridian.
When an equinox is rising due-east on the horizon, the prime meridian or 'great circle' will loop directly above, passing through the north celestial pole and also through the pole of the ecliptic. Thus, by definition, the pole of the ecliptic is always on the prime meridian line when an equinox point is rising in the eastern horizon. However, the pole of the ecliptic will be at upper culmination at the meridian (about 53.5° altitude) only when the vernal point (spring equinox) is rising due-east. When this happens, all the main 'stations' (or 'colures') of the sky (the two equinoxes and the two solstices) will be found in the four cardinal directions of the celestial landscape.

Bauval says:
If the ancient pyramid builders wished to design a symbolic representation of this special moment in time when the sky is in perfect order around the pole of the ecliptic, they would have selected a time when Orion (stellar form of Osiris) was sitting due-south at the same time as the pole of the ecliptic was sitting due-north and the vernal point was sitting due-east.
That time, the beginning of the cosmic order of the world, Bauval and Hancock claim is 10,500 BC, and architectural simulacra defined by the Giza necropolis appears to 'freeze' that moment in immutable stone monuments:

1.The slope of the central pyramid (53 07' 48'), is less than 1° away from the upper culmination of the pole of the ecliptic. [No convincing explanation has, so far, been given as to why the Pyramid builders selected slopes of 52° +/- 2°. The geometrical theories are not very satisfactory.]
2.The three pyramids are set along the north-south 'colure' i.e. along the prime meridian of the sky.
3.The general pattern of the three pyramids correlates with the general pattern of the three central stars of Orion i.e. Orion's belt.
4.The vernal point is in alignment with the Great Sphinx as well as the constellation of Leo.

In the year 10,500 BC Leo rose helically, the sky began to lighten, then when the top of the solar disk broke over the horizon in the east, the stars of Orion's belt culminated at the meridian due south, 9 deg 20' above the horizon. The Sphinx, the equinoctial marker set towards the east, gazed at the equinox sunrise and saw its own astral counterpart (Leo).
The meridian (in the sky) which passes through Al-Nitak (Zeta Orionis) continues on land as the north-south line, which passes through Al-Nitak's counterpart on earth, the Great Pyramid. [Bauval brought to the world's attention that the Giza pyramids are mirrored just like the stars of Orion's belt on land]. The 3 pyramids representing the 3 stars of Orion’s belt form a diagonal of 45 deg to due NS. The stars on which the pyramids were modelled were last seen in this arrangement in 10,500 BC when they were at the lowest point in the precessional cycle – Zep Tepi, the first time. Only in that epoch did the diagonal line through the three pyramids appear in the same orientation on land as the orientation of Orion's belt in the sky with respect to the meridian and its counterpart the north-south line.

To an observer at Giza at epoch c. 10,500 BC Leo has risen heliacally in the east on the dawn of the vernal equinox while simultaneously the star Al-Nitak in Orion's belt culminates on the prime meridian which loops directly overhead and passes through the north celestial pole and the pole of the ecliptic.
Since Osiris was said to have ruled in the 'First Time' (Zep Tepi) Bauval and Hancock suggest that the positions of the three stars in Orion's belt might mark the beginning of the Egyptian precessional cycle.
[Oahspe reveals the time of the Etherian God Osire (Osiris) to be 10,350 BC which closely agrees with what Hancock is saying, yet it sets him apart from the false god who assumed the same name and was responsible for the Great Pyramid (c. 2000 BC).]

The Egyptian Temple of Dendera, dedicated to the goddess Hathor, is thought to have been constructed by the Ptolemies in the first century BC, but on the site of an earlier temple. It contains two zodiacs: a rectangular zodiac, carved in the ceiling of the hypostyle hall, and a circular zodiac, about 8 feet across, found on the ceiling of a chapel on the temple roof.

The astronomical arrangements of the circumpolar and zodiacal constellations at the centre of the circular Denderah Zodiac show both the pole of the ecliptic as well as the north celestial pole.

"The zodiac of Denderah is a circle at the centre of which is the north pole (correctly located in the constellation of the jackal, or Little Bear (Ursa Minor, the constellation of Polaris), as it was at the time the zodiac was carved, sometime about the first century BC. But the zodiac also shows the pole of the ecliptic, located in the breast of the hippopotamus, or constellation of Draco. To Schwaller this explains the spiral formation of the constellations. The mythological figures are entwined in two circles --one around the North Pole and one around the pole of the ecliptic. Where these two circles intersect marks the point of the equinox, or due east. The zodiac thus becomes a calendar going back to remote antiquity."

Zodiacs, like that of Denderah, appear to have been deliberately depicted in the appearance they would have had centuries before, as if to date the changes. This suggests that the Egyptians were aware of the precession of the equinoxes, even if their mathematics was unable to predict it numerically

Denderah Zodiac

Schwaller has the pole of the ecliptic on the breast of the Hippopotamus (Draco) constellation, and the north celestial pole at the front feet of the Upuaut/Fox constellation (Ursa Minor).
Bauval says the right hand of the standing Hippopotamus that holds a rope, that is attached to the lower end of the Thigh constellation seems to denote the actual position of the pole of the ecliptic onto which the Thigh (Great Bear) constellation seems to be 'moored' to or 'anchored' with a rope.

There is a lack of inscriptions on the 4th Dynasty pyramids. In contrast, the last pyramid of the 5th Dynasty and most pyramids of the 6th Dynasty have their inner walls filled with religious texts which are known as the Pyramid Texts. The ideologies expressed are believed to reflect the 4th Dynasty. There are many passages that tell how the king unites with the sun-god Re in the eastern horizon at dawn and that his afterlife destiny is among the stars.
Two stellar destinations are mentioned, one in the north and the other in the south. The northern stars were called Ikhemu-sek, the 'Imperishable', identified as the circumpolar stars. The stars, as seen from latitude of Giza (30° N), are contained inside an imaginary circle having a radius of 30°, with the north celestial pole as its focal point and with its circumference skimming the north horizon. Today the centre of this centre i.e. the north celestial pole, is marked by the bright star Polaris but, in c. 2500 BC when the Giza pyramids were being built, it was the star Thuban (Alpha Draconis) that marked this spot. The ancient Egyptians would have noted three distinct constellations within the circumpolar region, namely the Big Dipper (Ursae Major); the Small Dipper (Ursae Minor) and Draco.
The southern group of stars included the constellation Orion, the stellar form of Osiris and Canis Major with its bright star Sirius, identified to Isis.
The pantheon of Heliopolis was the so-called Great Ennead of nine gods often mentioned in the Pyramid Texts: Atum-Re, Tefnet and Shu, Geb and Nut, Osiris and Isis, and Seth and Nephtys. Also linked to the Great Ennead, but not a member of it, was the god Horus, son of Osiris and Isis. Other important gods mentioned in the Pyramid Texts are Ptah, Min, Thoth, Sokar and Anubis. Among the many lesser deities mentioned in the Pyramid Texts are Seshat, Wepwawet and Dw-nwy. It is this last, Dw-nwy, that we will now focus on.
"In the Pyramid Texts Dunanwi Dw-nwy appears in several contexts, including that of the purification ritual in which the god represents the east in accompanying Thoth, Horus and Seth who together personify the four cardinal points (PT 27, etc.). From the end of the Old Kingdom, however, Duwanwi (Dwn'nwy) seems to have been assimilated with the falconiform god Nemty and is known only in that form thereafter."
"O Dwn-nwy, go and proclaim to the Eastern Souls and their spirits: this king comes indeed, an imperishable spirit. Whom he wishes to live will live; whom he wishes to die will die...." (PT 159)

The hieroglyphic ideogram used to represent Dwn-nwyhim is a falcon perched on a standard.

About 1000 years after the Giza Pyramids, a similar deity called Anu, identified to Dw-nwy, is depicted on the astronomical ceilings of royal tombs in Thebes. Anu is shown as a falcon-headed man with arms outstretched and holding a spear or rod, amongst the circumpolar constellations of the Thigh (Big Dipper) and the Hippopotamus (Draco). qq

There are references to the 'Great Mooring-post' in the Pyramid Texts:
"The Great Mooring post calls to you... you ascend here as a star, the Morning Star. He comes to you his father; take his hand and let him sit on the great throne that he may join the two 'Hrmt' of the sky."
"The doors of the sky are open for you, the mourning-woman summons you as Isis, the Great Mooring-post calls to you as Nephtys, you have appeared upon the causeway..."
The 'Great Mooring-post' is somehow associated with Osiris, the king is assisted by his sisters, Isis and Nephtys.

There are other references in the Pyramid Texts to the Great Mooring-post which appear in passages where Orion is specifically mentioned. Osiris in his stellar form is the constellation of Orion.
[Its likely that Orion was the symbol given by Osire at that time, today mixed up with the false Osiris.]

"O King, you are this great star, the companion of Orion, who traverses the sky with Orion, who navigates the Netherworld with Osiris... the Great Mooring-post cries out to you as to Osiris in his suffering." "The Great Mooring-post calls out, because you are he who stands and will never tire in the midst of Abydos. Betake yourself to the waterway, fare upstream to the Thinite Nome, travel about Abydos, in this spirit form of yours which the gods commanded belongs to you, may a stairway to the netherworld be set up for you to the place where Orion is..."

Orion, however, is not a circumpolar or even a northern constellation but very much a southern constellation. There are other passages which associate the Great Mooring-post to the 'imperishable stars', the northern circumpolar stars that never 'die' ie. never set

"The doors of the sky are opened for you, the doors of the firmament are thrown open for you... the Mooring-post cries to you, the sun-folk call you, the Imperishable Stars wait on you..."
"The Great Mooring-post calls to you... may you remove yourself upon your iron throne, may you cross the lake, may your face be [cleansed?] in the north of the sky..."

The imagined skyward ascent of the king's soul was either in the north of the sky among the 'Imperishable Stars' or in the south of the sky amongst the stars of Orion

Great Pyramid Stellar Alignments

The 'stellar' shafts emanating from the King's Chamber of the Great Pyramid in c. 2500 BC. The two southern shafts were directed to Orion's belt and Sirius; the northern shafts to the circumpolar constellations of Ursa Minor and Draco.

The astronomer Virginia Trimble noticed in 1964 that the southern shaft of the King's chamber points to Orion. Bauval made further calculations and found out that this happened about 100 years after the accepted building date of the Great Pyramid. At that time the shaft pointed exactly to the star the Great Pyramid represents in Orion's belt. The southern shaft of the Queen's Chamber pointed at the brightest star in the sky, Sirius, at almost the same time.

The mythological counterparts are Orion-Osiris; Sirius-Isis; Ursa Minor-Upuaut/Horus; Draco-Hippopotamus Goddess

Thothma built a column to the east line of the slat, seven lengths [about 70 inches x 7 = 40.8 feet], and the height was thirty-six lengths [about 70 inches x 36 = 210 feet]; of wood and stone built he it, with an opening from the bottom to the top, and the width of the opening was six lengths [about 70 inches x 6 = 35 feet]. In the walls thereof was a winding stairway, and there were windows looking out to the east and west and north and south, that the stars from every quarter might be observed.

On the summit of the column were dwelling-places for the seers and mathematicians, with places for the measuring instruments and lenses. When this was completed, Thothma built of wood and stone an external wall across the slat of the temple; and within this wall were stairs also, and these led to the top of the pyramid. This wall was also provided with windows, that the northern stars might be observed
[one of which may have marked the pole of the ecliptic, which indicates the colures]. Thothma made an observing column for the sun, and it was provided with lenses of all colors, so that adepts standing at the base of the pyramid could see the sun at every hour of the day, and distinguish the spots and their changes.
A gau was set within each of the angles of observation, that the relative position of the sun with northern stars could be determined every day. By these two columns, therefore, Thothma and his mathematicians measured the sun and moon and stars, as to the distances and sizes thereof…
[The two columns are remeniscent of the two pillars of the Knights Templars and Freemasonry.]
And Thothma had these things rewritten and condensed into books, and named them books of great learning, and they were deposited within the south chamber of the pyramid, where never harm could come to them. And these observations were reduced to tablets and maps, and a record made of them in Parsi'e'an language, which was the language of the learned.
[There are no southern chambers of the pyramid, which implies that they are still there.]
Thothma and his philosophers examined the whole matter as compared with the maps and tablets of the heavens, and the facts deduced therefrom were written in a separate book and called The Philosophies of God and His Son Thothma, King of Earth!

Copies of this book were made and sent into the lands of Arabin'ya, Vind'yu, Jaffeth, and Parsi'e and Heleste, and Uropa, to the priests of God, but the original book was filed in the Holy Chamber, in the Temple of Osiris.

And their spirits were conducted into Osiris' heavenly regions, and sojourned there for many days, and returned to their bodies unharmed. Because of the position of the chambers, there was no action upon their bodies whilst in the swoon.

Looking for the South Chamber of the pyramid
Thothma's books of great learning deposited within the South Chamber have not been found. Sixty-five meters up the southern shaft of the Queen's Chamber is a miniature portcullis slab discovered by a robotic camera in 1993. Attached are two copper fittings, one broken. This area of the shaft is lined with Tura limestone, which is typically used in pyramids only for lining chambers.
In the September 2002 live TV program called "Secret Chambers Revealed" a robot drilled a small hole in the portcullis slab and inserted a fibre optic camera to find out what was behind that stone door. It turned out that there was another sealed door blocking another sealed chamber.

Ahm'uk (Ebra), a plumb-line. A Gau'Yi shall be placed by the altar. By the Sign Gau'i shall man learn to prove all things(Vede). It shall be the symbol of proof. Be patient that your sight may not err, saith Gau. Pedj Shes (the stretching of the cord) was a ceremony performed to work out the correct alignment for the building of temples and pyramids. It relied on the sightings of the constellations of Orion and Ursa Major (the great bear) and used the sighting instrument called a merkhet (instrument of knowing).
The merkhet used a string with a weight on the end to accurately measure a straight vertical line, much like a plumb bob. It consisted of a horizontal bar, usually carved from wood or bone, with a plumb line hanging from a transverse hole at one raised end of the bar, attached to a controlling wooden handle.
The merkhet was typically used in conjunction with a sighting tool (called a bay), which itself was made from a specially cut palm-rib with a sliced "V" shape at one end. The two together could be used to determine North. Two merkhets were required, one aligned with the North Pole star. In addition, by using a bay, one could estimate quite accurately the time by observing the transits of certain stars as they crossed the meridian and came into alignment with the two merkhets.
The merkhet was used for aligning the foundations of the pyramids and sun temples with the cardinal points, and was usually correct to within less than half a degree.
A few merkhets have been preserved, including one that is in the Science Museum in London (dating to 600 BC).

Markers around an obelisk would indicate units of time, and indicated morning, afternoon, the longest and shortest days of the year (summer and winter solstice).

In the mid-1800's, the astronomer Herschel performed detailed calculations to show how circumpolar stars would have been used to maintain the cardinal alignment and straightness of the Descending Passage in the Great Pyramid as it was being dug out of the bedrock. The ancient Egyptians used circumpolar stars to cardinally align their monuments has been accepted by Egyptology for a long time. It has been thought that they used one circumpolar star and marked its eastern and western-most positions, then bisected them to locate true north. Or that pairs of stars when in vertical alignment.

There is a high degree of correlation between the precessional movement of the two circumpolar stars and the variations in the alignments of the major pyramids from true north.

King's and Queen's Chamber shafts There are sometimes huge variations in the angles of the shafts from the horizontal and also their lateral deviations from the vertical plane. The (partially explored) northern Queen's Chamber shaft deviation in its angle from the horizontal is as much as 7 degrees. It does not deviate laterally at all for the first 40 or so feet. Then it veers off in a north-westerly direction, and it is not known what happens thereafter. Meanwhile the northern KC shaft deviates west early on and then straightens back up, but, yet again, it has no obvious reason to do this.

Looking at the Pyramid Layout the Southern end (the side of the pyramid beyond the Kings chamber which is not shown) is solid rock. qq Thothmes III is generally regarded as the greatest of the kings of Egypt--the Alexander the Great of the Egyptian history. The name Thothmes means "child of Thoth," and was a common name among the ancient Egyptians. He is represented by a sphinx presenting gifts of water and wine to Tum, the setting sun, a solar deity worshipped at Heliopolis. On the hieroglyphic paintings at Karnak, the fact of the heliacal rising of Sothis, the dog-star, is stated to have taken place during this reign, from which it appears that Thothmes Thutmose I or Thothmes I [thoth'm?z, t?t'mes] , d. 1495 B.C., king of ancient Egypt, third ruler of the XVIII dynasty; successor of Amenhotep I. He became king c.1525. In a great campaign he subjugated the valley of the Nile up to the Third Cataract (below the present Dongola). Syria occupied his attention, and he at least temporarily subdued the country as far as the Euphrates River. His son and successor, Thutmose II,. reigned from c.1495 to 1490 B.C. Unlike Hatshepsut , his half-sister whom he married, Thutmose II did not have a royal mother. Before long Hatshepsut gained equal power and relegated him to the background, calling herself "king." At the death of Thutmose II, Hatshepsut became regent for Thutmose III,. his son by a minor queen. She relegated Thutmose III to an inferior position for 22 years while she ruled Egypt. At her death (1468), he emerged as the sole ruler of Egypt and as a great conqueror. Almost immediately he advanced into Syria, where an Asian alliance against Egypt waited to oppose him. He was victor at Megiddo and consolidated all Syria, except Phoenicia, in his empire. In successive campaigns he reduced every ruler N of the Euphrates to the status of autonomous tributary and eventually conquered even powerful Kadesh and Mitanni, a kingdom E of the Euphrates River. His empire (the zenith of the New Empire), extending from the Third Cataract to the Euphrates, was used to enrich Egypt with wealth and man power. He built temples up and down the Nile and founded the wealth of the priesthood of Amon, to which he belonged. Thutmose died (1436), after having made his son Amenhotep II coregent, and was buried in the Valley of the Tombs at Thebes. His mummy is now at Cairo. Thutmose IV. (reigned c.1406-1398 B.C.), son and successor of Amenhotep II, also invaded Asia and Nubia; he formed alliances with independent kings neighboring his Syrian tributaries and married a princess of Mitanni, who was mother of his son and successor, Amenhotep III.

An astronomical explanation that connects the deviation in pyramid alignment throughout the epoch.

If one takes a long-exposure photograph of the northerly night sky, the stars will appear as arcs centred on a common point - true north. Currently, this point is occupied (to within one degree or so) by the star Polaris. the earth's axis precesses with a 26,000-year period. When the Egyptians were constructing their tombs, there was no visible pole star within two degrees of true north, yet they were able to achieve an accuracy of just three arc minutes (one twentieth of a degree).
Spence identifies this method as the observation of two stars on exact opposite sides of true north which appear to rotate around it. When they are in vertical alignment, as judged by a plumb line, their direction can be taken to be true north with a high accuracy. By running computer simulations of the night sky back to the time of the Egyptian kingdoms, she has also identified the stars that were most probably used - z-Ursae Majoris and g-Ursae Minoris - one each from the constellations of The Great and The Little Bear, which had simultaneous transits in 2467 BC.
Because of the precession of the Earth's axis, these two stars would have simultaneous transits only for a year or so. One would therefore expect errors in alignments to increase with time away from 2467 BC. This is exactly what is seen - plotting the estimated construction date of the pyramids against their error in orientation produces a remarkably straight line, with those built before 2467 BC pointing slightly east and those built afterwards pointing slightly west. Two pyramids, Khafre and Ashure, do not fall near the straight line, but even this can be explained by assuming that the measurement was made when the two key stars were the other way up in the sky, reversing the deviation. Spence calculates that the Great Pyramid (Khufu) was set out in 2478 BC ± 5 years. Historians currently place the beginning of King Khufu's reign at 2554 BC at the latest

The Mazzaroth says:
Jewish, Persian, and Arabian ancient writers preserve the tradition, that the family of Seth (Adam, Seth, and Enoch) invented astronomy, the Egyptians attributing it to Seth or Thoth, said to be the same as Hermes Trismegistus, the thrice-great.
Plutarch mentions Seth, "to whom the third day of the five of the epact was dedicated," as worshipped in Egypt. He was said to be the third son of Set and Netpthe, the father and mother of the gods, whose names are given by Bunsen as Seb and Nutpe.
Thoth or Hermes was called the scribe of truth, the twice-great; and that they held Set to be the name of the god of Asiatic people)

In the "Book of the Dead," it is said, "Tet, which is Set," thus confirming the identification of Seth and Thoth.
The emblems of astronomy have always and everywhere been traced back to the earliest race of man. The Hebrews, Chaldeans, Persians, and Arabs imputed its invention to Adam, Seth, and Enoch; the earlier Greeks to their mythical and mysterious personage Prometheus (one of the forty-nine Saviours).

Hermes, meaning great, are probably only epithets: Enoch may be meant by "the first Hermes" to whom ancient writers so often attribute the origin of human science.
A work called Pimander is attributed to Hermes Trismegistus, in which the zodiac is called a tabernacle.

The Caduceus is the Staff of Hermes. He is Mercury the Psychopomp - leader of souls to God. He is the Power of Fohat descending in spiral emanation through the Seven Planes. He is the healing God Aesclepius of the Medical Profession. The staff of Aesclepius is the Caduceus.

original version of the 'Book of Thoth', the corpus of writings on which was based the Egyptian 'Book of the Dead'. The Emerald Tablet, or the Emerald Table as it is frequently called is part of the Hermetica and is one of most revered magical documents in Western occultism. Hermes Trismegistus is portrayed in art as holding an emerald upon which he inscribed the entire Egyptian philosophy.

According to legend, The Emerald Tablet is said to have been discovered in a caved tomb, clutched in the hands of the corpse of Hermes Trismegistus. Legends differ on the discoverer. One says it was Sarah, the wife of Abraham. Another says it was Apollonius of Tyana. The stone is inscribed in Phoenician and revealed the magical secrets of the universe. A Latin translation of the Tablet came out by 1200, preceded by several Arabic versions. None of the translations are identical, and little on the Tablet appears to make sense.

The most significant part of The Emerald Tablet is within its opening: "That which is above is like that which is below and that which is below is like that which is above, to achieve the wonders of the one thing." Therefore, "This is the foundation of astrology and alchemy: that the microcosm of mankind and the earth is a reflection of the macrocosm of God and the heavens."

Although most of the works of the Hermetica have disappeared or been destroyed over the centuries, practically the entire system of traditional and modern magic was inscribed upon the emerald tablet in cryptic wording. Some claim its true meaning must be found in every human's soul. Thus is the massage of the emerald tablet:

True, without falsehood, certain and most true, that which is above is the same as that which is below, and that which is below is the same as that which is above, for the performance of miracles of the One Thing. And as all things are from the One, by the meditation of One, so all things have their birth from this One Thing by adaptation. The Sun is its Father, the Moon its Mother, the Wind carries it in its belly, its nurse is the Earth. This is the Father of all perfection, or consummation of the whole world. Its power is integrating, if it be turned into earth.

You shall separate the earth from the fire, the subtle from the gross, suavely, and with great ingenuity and skill. Your skillful work ascends from earth to heaven and descends to earth again, and receives the power of the superiors and of the inferiors. So thou hast the glory of the whole world--therefore let all obscurity flee from thee. This is the strong force of all forces, overcoming every subtle and penetrating every solid thing. So the world was created. Hence all were wonderful adaptations, of which this is the manner. Therefore I am called Hermes Trismegistus having the three parts of the philosophy of the whole world What I have to tell is completed concerning the Operation of the Sun. A.G.H.

Trismegistus relates to the 3 philosiphies

1. I speak not fictious things, but what is true and most certain. 2. What is below is like that which is above, and what is above is like that which is below, to accomplish the miracles of one thing. I.e., there are ``corresponding planes'' in various levels of creation; hence it is safe to draw analogies between macrocosm and microcosm, the mineral kingdom and the human, animal and vegetable kingdoms, etc. 3. And as all things were produced by the mediation of one Being, so all things were produced from this one thing by adaptation. Since the God who created the universe was One, created objects must have been produced from a single - that is, undifferentiated - primal matter. This connects with the prakriti

4. Its father is the Sun, its mother the Moon; the wind carries it in its belly, its nurse is the earth. This is an especially complex aphorism. [According to some scholars], the sun and the moon probably stand here for spirit and matter. This is possible, but since gold was associated with the sun and the moon with silver - the astrological symbols for sun and moon are identical with the alchemical symbols for gold and silver - the luminaries at least suggest the two most precious and dignified metals. If the moon is associated with water, as because of its ``moisture'' was usual, and the sun with fire, the prima materia is understood to have been generated by fire, born of water, brought down from the sky by wind, and nourished by the earth. 5. It is the cause of all perfection throughout the whole world. Naturally. Must not the source of everything good be something better still? 6. Its power is perfect if it be changed into earth. The ``nursing'' of prime matter by the earth leaves it something different from earth, as a wet-nurse is not the same as the child she feeds. But the prime matter, if it is to be used for human purposes, must be ``fixed'' in a stable substance capable of being handled. 7. Separate the earth from the fire, the subtle from the gross, acting prudently and with judgement. Since the volatile principle is fire - or, sometimes, air - stability is produced by its removal. Or, alternatively but less probably, the earth is impurity (``the gross'') and a purified fire (``the subtle'') is what is wanted. 8. Ascend with the greatest sagacity from the earth to heaven, and then again descend to earth, and unite together the powers of things superior and things inferior. Thus you will obtain the glory of the whole world, and all obscurity will fly far away from you. Separate the volatile part of the substance by vaporization but continue heating until the vapor reunites with the parent body, whereupon you will have obtained the Stone, which will bring you glory. 9. This thing is the fortitude of all fortitude, because it overcomes all subtle things, and penetrates every solid thing. The ``strong'' product of distillation and reunion will dominate less solid substances but because of its own subtlety it will ``penetrate,'' and hence dominate, other solid things less pure and quasi-spiritual than itself. 10. Thus were all things created. The alchemical operation is a paradigm of the creative process. We may note also the sexual overtones of what has preceeded: the sun as male, the moon as female, the ``union'' of the ``powers of things superior and things inferior,'' the suggestion that the earth is matrix or womb, the air as the transporter of seed. 11. Thence proceed wonderful adaptations which are produced in this way. From the product, the Stone or Elixir, or boh, transmutations or cures will flow. 12. Therefore am I called Hermes Trismegistus, possessing the three parts of the philosophy of the whole world. The ``three parts'' are obscure; one may be natural science, another divinity, but I am unable to identify the third. [Ethics? - CRS] The usual explanation of Trismegistus, or ``Thrice-Great,'' is that Hermes was the greatest philosopher, the greatest priest and the greatest king. In any event, this paragraph assures us that the Emerald Tablet has unchallengable authority. 13. That which I had to say concerning the operation of the Sun is completed. ``Sun'' here means God, fire, gold, and perhaps other things as well.

Inside the Great Pyramid are two chambers, one know as the King's Chamber and the other as the Queen's Chamber. From the north and south walls of each of these chambers emanate small channels or shafts. The cross-section of these shafts is very small, about 20 x 20 cm. The shafts first run for a few meters horizontally before turning upwards sharply to rise within the solid core of the pyramid. Those from the King's Chamber pierce the pyramid all the way to the outside, but those in the Queen's Chamber stop some 65 meters within the core of the monument.

the alignment of the southern shaft of the Queen's Chamber had pointed to Sirius. on the 5th of August, the day of the Heliacal rising of Sirius in Egypt, the National Geographic chose to announce to the world that they were about to commence a daring exploration inside the "Sirius Shaft" and attempt to see what was behind a small trap door discovered in 1993 by a German Engineer, Rudolf Gantenbrink.

Rudolf Gantenbrink, a German Robotic engineer, used a miniature robot called Upuaut II to explore the mysterious shafts of the Queen's Chamber and discovered a small 'door' with copper handles at the end of the southern one, some 65 meters away from the wall of the chamber.

And Dr. Hawass told the same newspaper that, "There might be a papyrus of Khufu's sacred book, which has never been found. We know it once existed. The Egyptian priest who first wrote out the list of the pharaohs of Egypt gave potted historied against each name. And one entry is: 'Khufu also wrote the Sacred Book.' As Khufu was the man who built the biggest pyramid, his Sacred Book might reasonably be expected to explain how, and more importantly, why."


"After 4,500 years and centuries of speculation the answer to one of the riddles of the Great Pyramid of Giza was about to be answered. In front of a live television audience…there were gasps from those watching the flickering pictures transmitted via a tiny probe. "We can see . . . " said Dr Zahi Hawass, the commentator broadcasting to millions of viewers, "we can see . . . another sealed door..." A collective breath was exhaled as Dr Hawass struggled to recover from what appeared to be the greatest of anticlimaxes. "What we have seen tonight is totally unique within the world of Egyptology," he said, with utter conviction.


While the northern and southern shafts from the Queen's chamber did not extend all the way to the exterior of the Great Pyramid as construction was believed to have been abandoned midway, Bauval reconstructed the image on his computer and concluded that the Northern shaft had actually aimed at the Star Kocab - a star associated with immortality. The southern shaft corresponded to Sirius. I'm still trying to determine how, if the Great Pyramid shafts are bent or slightly misaligned, or if they were once covered over by the polished limestone (now removed), do they point to the stars at all. Does anyone know? Reconstructing the ancient skies over Giza reveal that at 2500 BC, the Southern shaft King's chamber's targeted straight at Al Nitak (the brightest of the 3 stars of Orion's belt). The north shaft was targeted on the upper culmination (meridian occupation, cardinal north) of Thuban, near the north celestial pole. The south shaft was targeted on the transit (meridian occupation, cardinal south) of the Belt of Orion. qq

On the 5th of August 2002 at Cairo, an hour or so before sunrise, the bright star Sirius appeared just over the eastern horizon. It had not been visible for 70 days but now it shone brightly for a few seconds, sending sparks of purple and golden-white in the eastern skyline. This marked the so-called heliacal rising of Sirius, when in ancient Egypt the whole population celebrated the rebirth of the Nile and also the birth of the divine pharaoh. Because of the phenomenon of Precession, this event changes slowly with time, and in the epoch of the Pyramid Builders, also known as the Old Kingdom (c. 2600-2200 BC), it took place near the 21st June (Gregorian), the time of the Summer Solstice. At that time the waters of the river Nile would begin to rise, marking the start of the Flood Season and the regeneration of the crops and husbandry, and thus of Egypt itself. The Heliacal Rising of Sirius also marked the ancient Egyptian New Year´s Day, when great celebrations were seen all over the land.

Concerning the nature of the river, I was not able to gain any information either from the priests or from others. I was particularly anxious to learn from them why the Nile, at the commencement of the summer solstice, begins to rise, and continues to increase for a hundred days- and why, as soon as that number is past, it forthwith retires and contracts its stream, continuing low during the whole of the winter until the summer solstice comes round again.

It is thought that the Zodiac constellations were named with regards to what was happening on Earth at the time that the Sun appeared in a particular sign. Aries, the sign of the Vernal Equinox contained the Sun at the time that animals were mating, plants were growing and the sap of trees was rising after the Winter dormancy and symbolised the dawn, the spring, and the beginning of life, the masculine generative force, impulsion.

In Oahspe the season to bring together male and female is Sed, "a name signifying gentleness and wisdom. Written sign of a lamb or of the nose and eyebrows of man. A symbol of stars and zodiac".

In Egypt, Ammon Ra - the God of Fertility and Creative Life - was depicted with the body of a man and the head of a ram. On New Year's Day - day one of the peret season, the time of the inundation of the Nile, the Pharaoh travelled from Memphis to the temple of Amun at Karnak to perform the heb-sed ritual (dating from predynastic times) to bring back the harmony between the king and the universe and renew his right to rule as the divine son of the god on earth.
The open court of the Step Pyramid at Sakkara seems to have been used for the function of Djoser's Heb-Sed Festival. Those who were privy to participate in this festival of the king's revitalization witnessed several different rituals. One was the king giving offerings to the goddess Sechat-Hor, who had fed Horus (the king) with her holy milk-the drink of immortality.
The most important one was, to show the king's continued potency, the king would run around the field (or within the Sed courtyard) while carrying several ritual articles in his hands that gave the king the right to possess Egypt. In the course of the festival, priests led the king into two pavilions where he received the crowns of Upper and Lower Egypt, symbolically renewing the crowning ceremony.

The Jewish Nisan (March-April), was associated with Aries. Josephus said that it was when the Sun was here in this month that his people were released from the bondage of Egypt. Similarly in Assyria for the same month Nisanu, Aries represented the Altar and the Sacrifice, when a ram was sacrificed.

It is interesting that the day of Passover (on the first full moon nearest the Vernal Equinox) associated with the lamb's blood occurs near the Vernal Equinox. This possibly coincides with the Sed festival. Its centerpiece is a ritual family meal known as the seder.

On the Vernal Equinox, The Wiccans observe the feast Eostre, (named after the Teutonic Goddess of Spring), and mark it with rituals of renewal and rebirth. Eggs are the primary symbol of Eostre. The name of Eostra's festival, Easter in English or Ostern in German, was transferred to the celebration of Christ's resurrection. In other European languages the holiday's name is based on the Hebrew word pasah meaning 'to pass over' from the Jewish Passover: in Latin Pascha, in Italian Pasqua and in French Pâques, Danish and Norwegian Påske and Russian Pas-ha. The name Ostara means 'east', the direction of the rising sun, with connotations of dawn and morning light. Easter is observed on the first full moon after the vernal equinox, like the Passover.

The Greek term for Easter, pascha is the Aramaic form of the Hebrew word pesach (transitus, passover). The Latins called Easter Pascha resurrectionis and Good Friday 'Pascha crucifixionis'. The Romance languages have adopted the Hebrew-Greek term: Latin=Pascha; Italian=Pasqua; Spanish=Pascua.
Celtic and Teutonic nations use it: Scottish=Pask; Dutch=Paschen; Danish=Paaske; Swedish=Pask;
In the German provinces of the Lower Rhine the people call the feast Paisken not Ostern. The word is, identified with "solemnity" and extended to the feasts Pascua florida=Palm Sunday (Spain); Pascua de Pentecostes=Pentecost; Pascua de la Natividad=Christmas; Pascua de Epifania=Epiphany. In some parts of France also First Communion is called Pâques, whatever time of the year administered.

The Apostolic Fathers do not mention Easter. Catholics say the connection between the Jewish Passover and the Christian feast of Easter is both "real" (since Christ died on the first Jewish Easter Day), and ideal (Christ's death and Resurrection was figured in the Old Law, as in the paschal lamb, which was eaten towards evening of the 14th of Nisan. The Jewish feast was taken over into the Christian Easter celebration; the liturgy sings of the passing of Israel through the Red Sea, the paschal lamb, the column of fire, etc. The exact calendar date of Christ's death was the day after the 14th of the first month, the 15th of Nisan of their calendar. Christ, the 'true' Paschal Lamb, had been slain on the day when the Jews sacraficed the figurative lamb.
Every Sunday of the year was a commemoration of the Resurrection of Christ, which had occurred on a Sunday. Because the Sunday after 14 Nisan was the historical day of the Resurrection, at Rome this Sunday became the Christian feast of Easter. Easter was celebrated in Rome and Alexandria on the first Sunday after the first full moon after the spring equinox, and the Roman Church claimed for this observance the authority of Sts. Peter and Paul.
The spring equinox in Rome fell on 25 March; in Alexandria on 21 March. At Antioch Easter was kept on the Sunday after the Jewish Passover. In Gaul a number of bishops, wishing to escape the difficulties of the paschal computation, seem to have assigned Easter to a fixed date of the Roman calendar, celebrating the death of Christ on 25 March, His Resurrection on 27 March

The word Easter may come from Eostre, the Anglo-Saxon name of a Teutonic goddess of Spring and fertility, whose festival was celebrated at the vernal equinox. Wearing a new hat (Easter bonnet) and outfit on Easter Sunday was a symbol of spiritual rebirth.
The word "bonnet" goes back to a Latin term (boneta/bonetus) meaning "materials for hats". Rabbits signified part of pre-Christian fertility lore and symbolized the abundance of new life associated with Spring. The ancient German goddess Ostara (the Anglo- Saxon Eostre) appeared with a hare, which may have been the origins of the modern Easter Bunny. In Germany, the Easter Bunny lays red eggs on Maundy (Holy) Thursday and different colored eggs on Easter Eve. The custom of the Easter Bunny was brought to America from German settlers who referred to him as "Oschter Haws." The Pennsylvania Dutch would make nests for the rabbit and on Easter Eve, the rabbit would lay colorful eggs in the nests or in caps or bonnets left out for him.
The word bunny was originally a term of endearment for a child or woman, most likely formed from Scottish bun, "tail of a hare." Easter eggs symbolize fertility and immortality and the egg is an important part of mythology, ever since the ancient Egyptians. For Christians, the egg is associated with the rock tomb from which Christ emerged to start His new life. During the 40-day period of Lent, eggs and other dairy products are prohibited among Orthodox Christians. The tradition of coloring Easter eggs probably started with medieval travelers to Egypt and Persia, where people dyed eggs for their Spring festivals.
The term Easter egg came into English around 1825 and was earlier called pace egg or paste-egg. The word Lent comes from an Anglo-Saxon word meaning "spring" or "lengthening days." It is a time of preparation for Easter and a time to strengthen one's faith through repentance and prayer. Lent is often observed with periods of fasting, abstaining from meat and dairy products, and other penitential activities.
Shrove Tuesday is the day observed for confession and absolution, Ash Wednesday gets its name from the custom of marking the foreheads of penitents with ashes on that day, and Maundy Thursday (Holy Thursday) developed from maunde, Christ's command to love one another. The day honors the Last Supper and the ceremony of the washing of the feet. Good Friday defines good in terms of "holy; observed as a holy day" and may be the oldest Christian celebration. Its name is likely a corruption of "God's Friday." Palm Sunday commemorates Jesus' entry into Jerusalem where he was covered with palms by the crowds. The Zoroastrian New Year starts at the exact moment of the beginning of the spring in the Northern Hemisphere, ie. March 21. The New Year celebration is called Novruz, meaning new day. Novrus has been celebrated among Iranian peoples for thousands of years. +

As the Earth tilts towards the sun in spring, there is more sunlight for growth of the plant plankton in the sea. An explosion of life occurs which heralds the beginning of the breeding season for most of the life in the sea. The best joining time for all sheep breeds would be from March to May and the worst time late winter/early spring.

Reviewing Jim Dennon's article 'Removing OAHSPE's Enigma'

Upon examining Jim Dennon's findings in his valuable article 'Removing OAHSPE's Enigma' one wonders, if a garden consists of the 4 ages (semu, hotu, adu and uz), then to reach uz the temperature of the earth declines steadily over the period of one garden. If the cycle returns to semu, how does the temperature rise again for the required gestation?

I'm not sure whether the journey of the earth around Cvorkum is related to the Solar Apex, the turning of the spiral arms of the Milky Way, the Solar Systems orbit around the galactic centre, or a completely unseen, transdimensional motion.

And the time from one dawn of dan to another shall be called one dan'ha; and four dan'ha shall be called one square, because this is the sum of one density, which is twelve thousand of the earth's years. And twelve squares shall be called one cube, which is the first dividend of the third space, in which there is no variation in the vortex of the earth. And four cubes shall be called one sum, because the magnitude thereof embraceth one equal of the Great Serpent.

And Jehovih caused the earth, and the family of the sun to travel in an orbit, the circuit of which requireth of them four million seven hundred thousand years.

The movement of the earth towards the solar apex, Jim says is an orbit (I don't know whether this is the case).
He calls this orbit cervorkum and I assume gives its orbital period as 4,608,000 years from: -

1 Cevorkum = 8 Sum/Garden/Magnitudes = 8 x 576,000 years = 4,608,000 years
choosing 8 complete Gardens per circuit, 4,700,000 years, the figure for the orbit of the Great Serpent, being the rounded number.

And the record of the Great Serpent showed the firmament of Tem'yi in the third circuit of c'v'wark'um and dan'ha twenty-four.

Which could have meant:
2 x 4,700,000 years + 23 Dan'ha x 3000 years = 9,400,000 + 69,000 = 9,469,000 years

My English Oahspe adds this editors note: -
This would make the age of the earth at that time 9,470,500 years.

Dennon says: -
"In the history of man on earth, the current garden is the 23rd, being the 7th magnitude/sum in the third circuit of cervorkum."

2 cevorkums x 8 gardens per cervorkum = 16 gardens
16 gardens + 7 seventh magnitude or sum = 23 gardens

That would be: -
23 gardens x 576,000 years = 13,248,000 years

I'm told the 1882 Oahspe editors note says: -
This would make the age of the earth at that time 13,172,000 years old.

Where is the firmament of Tem'yi shown in the plates or elsewhere?

Somehow Jim makes a magnitude equivalent to a sum. Is there somewhere that verifies this? The passage he cites claiming the magnitude is the 7th is Aph 3:3

And I examined the records of the stars of heaven, and of the earth; and the accounts of Jehovih's harvests, and I perceived the bondage and labor of the red star were of the seventh magnitude in the advance of habitable worlds.

"The third circuit of c'v'wark'um and dan'ha twenty-four" can also be interpreted to mean: -

1 Cevorkum = 24,000 years (if you believe that the period of cervorkum is the same as a Platonic year).

In the fold out record of cervorkum (in Oahspe) it could be thought that this is the complete cycle ie., twenty-four thousand years before the kosmon era.

3 Cevorkums = 72,000 years
24 Dan'ha = 24 x 3,000 years = 72,000 years
ie., 3 circuits of c'v'wark'um that are equivalent to dan'ha twenty-four.

In the time of the world twenty-four thousand years before the kosmon era, the great serpent (solar phalanx) being in the arc of Noe, in the etherean heavens, and of the Sum of Howt and ji'ya eighty-seven, the earth and her heavens were in great darkness.

I'm not saying this is the case. What I'm saying is there is no gauge in Oahspe from where to calculate the age of the earth (please advise me otherwise).

We search for a gnostic (hidden) knowledge, or what science would call an analytical formula on which to base our times and seasons. The "secret" of Jewish calendar making is said to use the Babylonian (or Metonic) 19-year lunar cycle to calculate the dates of Passover. It returns the Moon to the same phase on the same solar year date.
The Draconic, Saronic, nutation and Metonic Cycles are all of similar duration. They

seems to also be the oscillaic, motion of the earth.

The interval of time between two successive transits of the Moon through its ascending node. Metonic Cycle. Every 19.0 tropical years (or 235 synodic months) from the precise date of a full/new Moon, another full/new Moon occurs at approximately the same degree of the ecliptic and about the same date. The ancient Greeks called 19 the golden number as the same lunar phase repeats on the same date every 19.0 years.

It is said to be a small, irregular oscillation of the axis of the Earth in the precessional motion of Earth's rotational axis, caused by the Moon's minutely greater gravitational effect on the Earth's equatorial "bulge". It has a principal period of 18.6 years, and moves the equinox as much as 17" ahead of or behind its mean position.

In 'On the Revolutions of Heavenly Spheres', Copernicus described three motions of Earth that account for important visible movements in the sky. The first is Earth's rotation on its axis from west to east, which accounts for the movement of the Sun and stars from east to west. The second motion is Earth's revolution around the Sun from west to east (counterclockwise), which accounts for the eastward drift of the Sun throughout the year. The third motion is a compensatory east-to-west (clockwise) motion in declination that allows Earth's axis to point in the same general direction as it revolves around the Sun.

It seems that what Copernicus meant by the third motion of Earth is the characteristic that keeps the Earth's axis pointing in the same direction as it proceeds along its orbit. This does not imply precession like all writers seem to say. 23. In the case of double stars, and triplets, and so on, if conjoined, the center of gravitation (so-called) is not to each one, but to the intervening center between them. The polarity of such a group is as to the vortex.

this suggests that polarity in the case of planets, or even atoms or needles light, is due to the third motion of Copernicus Apparent light is produced by polarisation of a line of sub atomic needles. The angles at which they are set upon their own axis gives the waveform effect. The turning effect is what travels along the line of needles. heat and light are produced by the earth's own vortex, polarised by the master vortex, or stars etc. Gravity may be due to radially oriented electrostatic dipoles inside atomic nuclei. Light is not a moving thing but the result of instantaneous forces at a distance on charged matter whose inertia delays the appearance of received radiation. The spin of electrons and nuclei can be better characterised in terms of charge polarisation inside the electrons and nuclei. The attraction of planets to the sun requires a dipole inside nuclei tracking the sun in addition to the one whose orientation is constantly changing so as to be directed toward the center of the planet etc. Since it is something that the ancients were familiar with I believe it is the second of the four motions of the earth ( axial, oscillaic, orbitic and vorkum) that the Lords gave mortals, mentioned in the Book Of Wars Against Jehovih Ch XXXVII v 7.

Possibly, vorkum refers to the 24,000 year precessional eliptical circuit of the Solar Phalanx, and Cevorkum refers to the circuit of roadway of vorkum. nutation A small, irregular, recurrent oscillation or wobble of the axis of the Earth, caused by the Moon's minutely greater gravitational effect on the Earth's equatorial bulge. It has a principal period of 18.6 years (the same as that of the precession of the moon's nodes) and moves the equinox as much as 17" ahead of or behind its mean position. The time taken for the Moon's north node to complete one 360° cycle retrograde (ie: clockwise) through the ecliptic circle

For example, many of these observatories, including Stonehenge on England's Salisbury Plain, accurately record the 18.6-year cycle of the moon. This cycle causes every eclipse of the sun to repeat itself at a different place on the earth every 18.6 years. It also creates an 18.6-year wave or nodding in the precessional movement called nutation.

Furthermore, the 'circle' is not smooth but wavy owing to the phenomenon of nutation, a 'nodding' movement of the earth's axis with a period of 18.6 years and an amplitude of 9.2 arc-seconds. Its chief cause lies in the fact that the moon's orbital plane is inclined at about 5° to the earth's orbital plane and precesses around it in 18.6 years ('ideal' figure: 18 years). The 'circle' described in a complete precessional cycle therefore has about 1440 waves (= 25,920/18). (It is interesting to note that there are 1440 minutes in a day, and a human being breathes an average of 18 times a minute: 18 x 1440 = 25,920.) The approximate circle (with superimposed nutation) is traced in an anticlockwise direction as viewed from the earth, or in a clockwise direction as viewed from the north ecliptic pole.

16. In prophesying the tendency of a planet's approach to death, refer once more to the moon: Now the moon hath, as to the earth's face, no axial revolution. But it must be remembered the moon can not go around the earth without making an actual axial revolution. Seventy and one-half revolutions of the moon's vortex complete one travel around the earth's vortex. Consequently we arrive at the exact speed of the moon's vortexya and the strength of light and heat manifested on the moon. The student should make allowance for the moon's ellipse, for the light of the moon is much stronger (as seen from the earth) some times than others.

17. Place the se'muan age at ninety-nine degrees, the time of quickening animal life. It will be found that the moon at such period must have had an axial motion, facing the earth, of three and four-sevenths' times faster than the earth. Whilst at the same period of time the earth made its daily revolution in what would now be twenty-one hours and forty minutes. This would give a difference in animal heat of two and a half degrees of vortexya on the earth, as compared to the se'muan age. Consequently large animals, which are now extinct, had a temperature (average) higher of two and a half degrees than at present. Wherein we perceive three hours and seventeen minutes' loss in axial motion produced a loss of two and a half degrees of vortexian heat.

18. The difference, therefore, on the moon, in temperature below blood-heat and what it now must be, must correspond exactly with its comparative slowness (one revolution a month), as to the loss manifested on the earth. Now, although the student will discover the moon hath fallen to a temperature far below zero, yet it emitteth both light and heat.

19. To find the se'muan age (especially of man), place his temperature at ninety-eight (for good health), and one hundred and two at inflammation or death. Four below normal will, therefore, be the period of man's inhabitation of the earth. After the vortexian radiation reacheth this period, man will cease to propagate, and, so, become extinct as to the earth.

20. This giveth man eight degrees of vortexya as the sum of his existence. One degree is equivalent to twelve million seven hundred and sixty thousand radi c'vorkum. The serpent's coil would be one and one-fourth. That is, twenty-four thousand years to the time of completion. Thus, 12,760,000 divided by 260,000 add 1,402 1-2 add 24,000 x 3 = 76,750 years, the time of the se'muan age for man. To this should be added one cycle, of, say, three thousand years, which was the beginning of the fall of se'mu..780 21. By reversing these measurements, find the axial decrease of the earth in seventy-eight thousand years, which will be just one hundred minutes, or 3-340ths of a second annually, which is the earth's decline in speed. For which reason the first of the race of man on earth began about seventy-eight thousand years B.K.

The age of Brahma is tied back to the solar year (ie 360 degree rotation) and the value of pi [3.14159]
One age of Brahma is said to be 314,159,000,000,000 years but is calculated by:
1 age of Brahma (100 divine years) = 100 x 8,640 million x 360° = 311,040,000 million mortal years.

If a cycle (the length of Manu's life) of one man, Manu or Manvantara is taken to be three thousand years, as according to the first Bible of Vind'yu, then:

Bode's law or Titius-Bode law
Johann Elert Bode (1747-1826) was a German astronomer, known for "Bode's Law" which attempts to explain the sizes of the planetary orbits. This is a mathematical formula which generates, with a fair amount of accuracy, the semimajor axes of the planets in order out from the Sun.
Write down the sequence
0, 3, 6, 12, 24, ...
and add 4 to each term:
4, 7, 10, 16, 28, ...
Then divide each term by 10. This leaves you with the series
0.4, 0.7, 1.0, 1.6, 2.8, ...
which is intended to give you the semimajor axes of the planets measured in astronomical units.

Bode's law had no theoretical justification when it was first introduced; it did, however, agree with the soon-to-be-discovered planet Uranus' orbit (19.2 au actual; 19.7 au predicted). Similarly, it predicted a missing planet between Mars and Jupiter, and shortly thereafter the asteroids were found in very similar orbits (2.77 au actual for Ceres; 2.8 au predicted). The series, however, seems to skip over Neptune's orbit. The form of Bode's law (that is, a roughly geometric series) is not surprising, considering our theories on the formation of solar systems, but its particular formulation is thought of as coincidental.
When this "law" was first posited we did not know of the existence of planets beyond Saturn. The fact that Uranus and Neptune, when discovered, fitted , when discovered, fitted so well to this curve seemed to give it some credence, though there are some minor discrepancies (in the positions of Mars and Venus) in even the inner part of the system. The discovery of the asteroids - near but generally inside their "Titus-Bode" position - and then of Pluto which is way off the line, cast the theory into doubt, though it could be argued these are explicable exceptions from an otherwise well-maintained rule. It has been pointed out that many satellites of the major planets also seem to follow a similar sort of rule. There have been attempts to explain why planets might tend to form in this sort of spacing, but it is still a matter of disagreement as to whether we should read any significance into this "rule" for the planets' spacing.

In conclusion
I have reasonably identified the four motions of the earth [axial( the earth's rotation) and orbitic (the earth's rotation and orbit around the sun)]. The great mysteries revealed by Osire, and now being pursued by countless Internet websites dealing with mythology, paganism, New Age, astrology and precession. Among the many famous authors are Robert Bauval and Graham Hancock, whose ideas have sparked the world's imagination. All these are opening the way, bringing to the forefront the knowledge of the ancients, and hand us the keys to understand the Oahspe.

Osire, through his mathematicians, now furnished the Lords with maps of corporeal stars, and moon, and sun, and the position of the earth, with the sun-belt, and bestowed the names of animals upon them. Showed where the region of Cows was; the place of Bulls; the place of Bears; the place of Horses; the place of Fishes; the place of Scorpions; the place of Sheep; the place of Lions; the place of Crabs; the place of Death; the place of Life; the place of Capricornus; and marked the seasons, and made twelve sections (months) to the year, which was the width of the sun-belt.

And he placed the sun in the midst and made lines thence to the stars, with explanations of the powers of the seasons on all the living.

And he gave the times of Jehovih, the four hundred years of the ancients, and the half-times of dan, the base of prophecy; the variations of thirty-three years; the times of eleven; and the seven and a half times of the vortices of the stars, so that the seasons might be foretold, and famines averted on the earth.

When the tablets were completed and ready to deliver to the Lords, Osire said:

Take these and bestow them on mortals, both through the oracles and by inspiration, making them sacred with the prophets, and seers, and priests, and their kings and queens.

Come in the starlight, and I (Osire) will give you the signs, that ye may know these things yourselves. And where ye speak in the oracle, or by entrancement, ye shall point out to them certain stars, and give them the names thereof; and certain groups of stars, with their names, also; and ye shall show them the travel of the sun, north and south, and give them a tablet of onk (zodiac), divided into twelve groups, with twelve lines coming from the sun.

And ye shall raise up priests by inspiration, and by entrancement, and through them illustrate the position of the sun in the signs of the zodiac (onk). And the priests shall explain these things to the unlearned, that they may comprehend of their own knowledge.

Hirto said:

Learn to prophesy by the sun, and by the moon and by the stars. They tell no lies. The Lord then gave the signs of the zodiac (the horses, and cows, and lions, and sheep, and birds) that rule upon the earth, and upon the winds of heaven, and on the heat and cold, and the sun, and moon and stars, and spring and summer, and fall and winter. But these things are here omitted in this book, because they are known in mortal histories to this day.

Ye shall teach them in truth; but they will in after generations contort your teachings into corporeal worship, prostrating themselves before the sun, and moon, and stars, going down in disbelief in not only the spiritual life, but in the Great Spirit, and His Gods and Lords.

And these things must come to pass on the corporeal world; nor is there any resurrection in the latter days, save these of this day go through the fall which I am preparing for them.

For which reason, ye shall found corporeal knowledge in the stars, and name them, for these things will be testimony in kosmon, of the fate of the worshippers of corporeal knowledge, in the time of the Osirian cycle.

The Gyptian calendar
Although its seasons do not really correspond to the weather in SE Atrilia, the Gyptian calendar is the most widely used calendar in SE Atrilia.
The year is made up of 365 days: 360 normal days followed by 5 extra days.
The 360 normal days are divided into twelve 30-day months. The months themselves are grouped in three 4-month seasons: AKHET (Inundation), PERET (Growth) and SHEMU (Harvest). Months are simply known as the Fourth Month of Akhet, the First Month of Peret, etc. The first day of the First Month of Akhet roughly corresponds to real-world 20 July. Unfortunately, there is no reckoning of years. Each country tends to count them in terms of years of rule of the current ruler.
For instance, the date of the end of the battle for the Babyo Pass, in Dogobar, was the 15th day of the 1st month of Peret of the 1st year of Lalibêa's reign (15, 1st Peret, 1 L). Lalibêa's reign.

Because of this event the Egyptian year was divided into three distinct seasons: Akhet meaning inundation, Peret meaning emergence or growth, and Shomu meaning low-water and harvest. The word Shomu may well be an ancient root for the English word "summer." While Akhet was the season in which the Nile was depositing soil, Peret became the time of planting, cultivating and maintaining the crops. Shomu then followed with the beginning of this being the time of harvest. However, as noted earlier, Shomu quickly moved on to be a very hot-dry period in the year. Each of these seasons lasted approximately four lunar months.

Despite modern misconceptions there was no accurate way to predict with certainty when the Nile would actually begin to rise from year to year. Studies done in the late nineteenth century (well before the building of the High Dam at Aswan) show that in actuality this could begin anytime between April and June in our current calendar. However, the Egyptians soon came to realize that each year an important celestial event occurred which symbolically and perhaps intuitively came to represent the spiritual cause for the inundation. This was the rising of the star Sirius on the eastern horizon at sunrise, a phenomenon which is referred to by Egyptologists and astronomers alike as a 'heliacal' rising. At the beginning of Egyptian dynastic history the Summer Solstice and the heliacal rising of Sothis (Sirius) occurred on the same day. [An examination of the role of the star Spd.t in the Pyramid Texts has demonstrated that there is little evidence for the conventional view that it signifies the star Sirius. Indeed, the preponderance of evidence supports the conclusion that by Spd.t the planet Venus is meant, as nearly every characteristic of Isis-Sothis-Spd.t finds a close analogue in the cults of Venus-goddesses of other lands. correspondences exist between the cults of Horus-Spd.w and the Babylonian god Nergal, the latter god being securely identified with the planet Mars. Hitherto it was believed that ancient Egypt alone made Sirius the focal point of its calendrical machinations, while other advanced peoples, such as the Babylonians and Maya, were preoccupied with the movements of the planet Venus. (witness the assimilation of Apollo to the Sun in Greek religion, in direct contradiction to the earliest traditions)] qq In the eighth century B.C.E., the Egyptian Pharoh's primary advisor, the Vizier, was charged with reporting the first appearance of the bright star we call Sirius after it had been missing from the sky for approximately two weeks. This first appearance of Sirius in the pre-dawn sky was used to start the so-called Egyptian "lunar" calendar year, which was used for purposes of regulating religious affairs and everyday life. Shortly after Sirius first reappeared in the east, the Nile would have its annual life-giving flood. Sirius (Sothis) not only signaled the approaching Nile flood, but is the brightest "fixed" star in the heavens. In Egypt at the present time, Sirius rises just before the sun late in July, but usually can't be seen until early August. This is because as sunrise approaches, stars fade from view and the light of dawn obliterates starlight. At the time Sirius is about to reappear, the constellation Orion is fully visible in the lower eastern sky Sirius can be seen in the next constellation to rise (Canis Major). Because of this close relationship, Sirius was sometimes referred to as the "dog star" by early Greeks who thought of Canis Major as one of Orion's hunting hounds. Sirius, the brightest star in the night sky, was known as Sopdet-the "bright one"-to the Egyptians. For approximately seventy days this star would remain hidden from view, suddenly making its appearance at sunrise. This was seen as a very powerful, spiritual moment, so much so that it was commemorated with elaborate temple rituals by the priesthood and mass celebrations on the part of the public. It is for this reason that, ideally, this cosmic event came to be seen as the starting point of the year both for the stellar calendar (which evolved into the civil calendar) and the lunar calendar.

In Egypt, the agrarian year began with the heliacal rising of Sothis, which heralded the beginning of the inundation. Throughout Egyptian history the succession of the year's seasons is depicted in various ways in temples and tombs. Well-known pictorial representations of the calendar are found in the tomb of Senenmut and on the ceiling in the Ramesseum. Both exhibit the same arrangement of the months: the first four months of the new year, Akhet, are followed by the first two months of the next season, Peret. The series is then continued on the opposite side of the representation, with the last two months of Peret and the four months of Shemu. On sarcophagus lids from the Graeco-Roman period, the signs of the Zodiac are arranged in a strikingly similar order. Circular zodiacs, as that of Dendera, may well have been derived from the earlier Egyptian clepsydras. The purpose of these calendrical representations was to assure the survival of the deceased by associating him with the eternal solar and Osirian cycles.

Elements from these Egyptian zodiacs have survived in the decoration of the tympans of Romanesque churches in France, notably those of Vézelay and Autun. W.H.


Farmer's ritual year

One source tells that achet the inundation began in August and ended in October. The other periods followed with peret "coming forth" November to February a cool period. The dry period schemu with harvest is till from Mars to August.

In explaining the ritual astronomy talking about a virtual year with three seasons with four months each would be best. Still, I try to compare with our time and set New Year and beginning of achet 21st July. Some text is telling Re raises the vault the first day in the second period of peret. That must be 21st December and we can count back. Then it is from the rituals in Thebe.

New Year or Ramadan is when inundation begins about 21st July. They had a uag-feast but of a different kind maybe, because the third of the epigone days was the birthday of Seth. In the official tales he was the evil, however at many place they worshipped him as the superior.

Epigone was the five days of holiday they set in to even the year before New Year. The Greek word means "born afterwards" when 5 days was added to 12 x 30 = 360 to even a year. The Sumerians had also holidays and we call them "seven sleepers days".

They called the first period achet and in the picture it is the upper row at right and read from left. The battle between Horus and Seth began about 26th September and lasted more than a month. At the Bend of Nile in Karnak, Luxor and Thebe they celebrated the harem feast Opet for a month. They thought that as the pregnancy time and they had plenty of food after the harvest.

Below are the four wheels of peret "coming forth" and time for sowing. The first day in the second period of peret 21st December then Re, the Sun raises the vault of heaven. In plain English that means that the sun turns from the winter solstice ... I found the beginning of the yearly ritual at the Law Haugsbyn in exactly the same words.

On the 12th day began the Osiris rites for the growing season. They made a mummy of corn and sand in a basin and wrapped with rush. The djed-pillar was set to slanting position. It was watered daily until 21st and was then set in the sun and perhaps on a journey until 25th of the month and they buried it in a cist. The last period was a feast until 30th when they raised the djed-pillar to vertical. At that time the pharaoh celebrated the journey to the valley. That means valley temples or tombs maybe as a search for afterlife for the death. We do not know how popular this was among people and if they also went to Underworld ceremonies.

The 12th in third peret they tell Toth the moon take over after Atum the evening sun. That means approximately Candlemas. That means that the moon takes over after the evening sun. They connected the moon to fertility and growth. They also said that Ra the Sun and Osiris made the plants, as the child of Osiris became the new plant.

The sequence is right but about the days I am not surer than my sources.

The four at left are schemu. It is time for harvest and the hot time of lions. Around Thebe the period began and ended with a feast.

From the papyrus we learn that they divided the year in twelve times thirty days and set in five to six days as a holiday. We understand the synchronisation of the sun year and the moon loops in the symbolism as a whole.


Twenty years ago Madame Blavatsky, a faithful pupil of Eastern Masters, said that the Earth had a third movement, in addition to the two producing day and night and the seasons. She pointed out that the inclination of the Earth's axis is caused by a movement which, in due time, brings the north pole to where the equator is now and still later, to the place now occupied by the south pole. This, she said, was known to the ancient Egyptians, the famous planisphere at Dendera showing that they had records of three such revolutions. These statements, in common with the whole of her unexcelled work, "The Secret Doctrine," were hooted at. the existence of the third motion of the Earth, as claimed by Madame Blavatsky afforded an explanation of the theretofore puzzling fact that tropical plants and fossils are found in the polar regions, as such a movement would necessarily produce, in due time, tropical and glacial periods on all parts of the Earth, corresponding to its changed position in relation to the Sun. C'vork'um, the roadway of the solar phalanx, near the post of dan He shall now enter college, and serve according to his talents, from five to forty years, learning measuring, and distances, rotations, velocities, magnets, corporeal and es'sean; currents of vortices; roadways in vortices, and how to measure vortices by their spiral force; how to find the center and the periphery of vortices. And if he serve the full term of forty years, he shall have the freedom of the eighteenth, nineteenth, twentieth, twenty-first, twenty-second and twenty-third commandments; and all such places shall be forever open for him. [Theosophists say several remarkable cycles come to a close at the end of the century (2000). First, the 5,000 years of the Kaliyuga cycle; again the Messianic cycle of the Samaritan (also Kabalistic) Jews of the man connected with Pisces (Ichthys or 'Fish-man' Dag). It is a cycle lasting about 2,155 solar years, having a true significance when computed by lunar months. It occurred in 2410 BC, when the equinox entered into the sign of the Ram and ended with Pisces (255 BC). when it enters Aquarius in a few years the psychic idiosyncrasies of humanity will enter on a great change.]

According to the average, occult figures for the precession of the equinoxes, the vernal equinox falls back 50 seconds of arc a year, and therefore takes 2160 years to move through one constellation of the zodiac (30°), and 25,920 years for a complete circuit of the zodiac. In reality, the rate of precession varies. Blavatsky used the figure of 50.10 seconds of arc per year, equivalent to 25,868 years for a complete precessional cycle.
Dividing the latter figure by 12, gives (in round figures) 2155 years as the length of a messianic cycle. The rate of precession for the epoch J2000.0 is 50.288 arc-seconds per year, and the rate is said to be increasing by 0.0002 arc-seconds per year. The kali-yuga began in February 3102 BC, and the first 5000 years therefore came to an end in February 1899 (= 5000 - 3102 + 1). Blavatsky suggests that the Piscean Age also came to a close at the end of the 19th century. She indicates that 2155 years elapsed between the start of the Age of Aries in 2410 BC and the start of the Piscean Age in 255 BC. If the Piscean Age also lasted 2155 years, the Aquarian Age would have begun in 1901 (= 2155 - 255 + 1) if 255 BC is a chronological date, or 1900 if it is an astronomical date. On the basis of the current rate of increase in precession, the Piscean Age would have lasted 2157 years (assuming that Pisces covers 30° of arc). The dates of 2410 BC and 255 BC are also given by Gerald Massey A.H. Sayce, who says that the Age of Taurus began around 4700 BC and the Age of Aries in 2540 BC. According to one modern book on astronomy, the Age of Aries began around 2100 BC, the Age of Pisces around the start of the Christian era, and the Age of Aquarius will begin around the year 2200. The astronomical date given for the beginning of the Age of Aquarius by the French Institut Géographique National is AD 2010. Clearly there is no consensus on where to place the boundary between Pisces and Aquarius and thus on how best to divide the zodiac into 12 equal segments of 30°. at the beginning of the kali-yuga the vernal equinox approximately coincided with the Eye of the Bull (Aldebaran). Aldebaran was also in conjunction with the vernal equinoctial point about 31,000 years ago, 'It is from this point of the ecliptic that the calculations of the new cycle were commenced. the circle of the zodiac could be divided into four quarters (corresponding to the four seasons), with the boundaries being marked by Aries (vernal equinox), Capricorn (summer solstice), Libra (autumnal equinox) and Cancer (winter solstice), and it is possible that cataclysms accompanying the equinox's entry into each quarter are severer than normal. Leo 13,060 BP, Cancer 10,900 BP, Gemini 8740 BP, Taurus 6580 BP, Aries 4420 BP (2420 BC), Pisces 255 BC, Aquarius 1900. Cro-Magnon man started to appear on the western coasts of Europe and around the shores of the Mediterranean about 40,000 years ago, and arrived in large numbers between 15,000 and 10,000 BP. to the east of the Indus river was once traversed by a great river, known in Vedic writings as the Sarasvati. This once fertile region was a key centre of early Indic civilization. Around 1900 BC, in the Age of Aries, a series of tectonic upheavals caused several rivers to change their courses, leading to devastating floods and the drying up of the Sarasvati and other rivers. As a result, Indic civilization was temporarily eclipsed, and its centre shifted eastward to the Ganges and Yamuna valleys.19 the sothic cycle and the heliacal risings and settings of the star Sirius (Greek: Sothis; Egyptian: Sopdit). (The heliacal rising of a star means that it rises just before the dawn, so that it is visible very briefly before being lost in the solar rays.) The Egyptians had a civil or vague year of 365 days, and a fixed or sothic year of 365.25 days based on the heliacal rising of Sirius, which approximately coincided with the summer solstice and the rise of the Nile. In the Dendera zodiacs, the constellation Virgo is said to appear three times. 5. The Dendera zodiacs The Egyptian Temple of Dendera, dedicated to the goddess Hathor, is thought to have been constructed by the Ptolemies in the first century BC, but on the site of an earlier temple. It contains two zodiacs: a rectangular zodiac, carved in the ceiling of the hypostyle hall, and a circular zodiac, about 8 feet across, found on the ceiling of a chapel on the temple roof. The Egyptians related the extension of their country with the ordering of the sky. In the sky the most important line is the Ecliptic, which is the equivalent of the tropic on Earth. All the planets move within 7°, north and south, of the Ecliptic. Since the Ecliptic is at an angle of 24° (counting in round figures) with the Equator, no planet reaches a point further north than 31°. For the mapping of the sky it is enough to draw a map extending up to 31° 00'N, assuming the Tropic and the Ecliptic to be at 24°00N. The area of the sky in which the planets move was considered the inhabited part of the sky. The Egyptians conceived of the sky as a cylinder extending up to latitude 31°. This part of the sky could be mapped by a Mercator projection, since the degree of longitude up to latitude 31° shrinks of only 1/7. This cylinder could be unfolded into an oblong; hence, at times, the inhabited sky and the inhabited earth is described as an oblong. The sky above latitude 31°N was conceived as a huge hole, empty and uninhabited space. No stars in this area received attention except the circumpolar stars. On Earth the inhabited world, called Oikoumene, "the inhabited," by Greek geographers, was conceived as extending up to latitude 31°00N (or 31°06N if the Tropic and Ecliptic are set at 24°06'N, latitude of Syene). qq 19. Such, then, was. the time of Thothma's TEMPLE OF OSIRIS, THE GREAT PYRAMID is midway betwixt the ends of the earth, the extreme of the earth's corporeal growth; it stands as a monument of the greatest corporeal aspiration of man. So man's yearning up to this period was for corporeal knowledge, which is born out by Ancient inscriptions. Today Egyptologists and mythologists labour over the details of these and are finding the common link to be a profound metaphysical holisitic wisdom that is largely misunderstood by modern profane sciences, and yet underlies it.

qq R.A. Schwaller de Lubicz argued that the circular zodiac of Dendera marked three important dates, associated with the last three zodiacal ages (see figure 2): 1. A line drawn perpendicular to the temple's axis runs between the end of the Ram and the beginning of Pisces, indicating the position of the equinox around 100 BC, the date of the construction of the temple and the sculpting of the zodiac. The celestial pole for that time is located in one of the paws of the jackal, Anubis (Ursa Minor). The ecliptic pole is located in the breast of the female hippopotamus, Apet (Draco). 2. The true east-west line traverses Aries, indicating the position of the equinox in about 1200 BC, at the height of the cult of Amun the Ram. This equinoctial line passes through the two points where circles (of equal radius) drawn around the celestial and ecliptic poles intersect. 3. A third equinoctial line, indicated by the hieroglyphs of east and west drawn on the exterior of the disk, passes between Gemini and Taurus, indicating the date of the foundation of the empire, the beginning of the cult of the sacred Bull, Apis, and the adoption of the new calendar, in about 4240 BC.

Figure 2. Analysis of the circular zodiac. S.A. Mackey believed that, as well as representing an antiquity of about 16,000 years, the Dendera zodiacs also represented a far greater antiquity. He argued that the rectangular zodiac represents the earth's poles in the plane of the ecliptic (i.e. a tilt of 90°), which last occurred over 400,000 years ago, and that the circular zodiac represents the earth's poles coinciding with the ecliptic poles (i.e. a tilt of 180° or 0°), which last occurred over 540,000 years earlier, when the earth's axis was inverted. He also says that the zodiacs have features indicating that these positions of the poles had been repeated three times -- a reference to the depictions of Leo and Virgo. The zodiacs therefore represented an antiquity of some 3.5 million years, during which time the earth's poles had been 'three times within the plane of the ecliptic'. It is interesting to note that, as well as referring to Mackey as the Oedipus who had understood the riddle of the zodiacs, H.P. Blavatsky also commented: 'On the Dendera Zodiac as preserved by the modern Egyptian Coptic and Greek adepts, and explained a little differently by Mackey . . .' Denderafull.jpg Figure 3. In one of them the Lion's tail is turned up over its back (no. 65, but shown more clearly in figure 1, which is more accurate), indicating according to Mackey that the Lion (and every other constellation) had become inverted. In the other, the Lion's tail curves downward (no. 46). In the rectangular zodiac, the Lion's tail likewise curves downward at an angle of 40 to 50° (figure 4, no. 61). 27. Matter, as such, has no power in any direction whatever:14 neither attraction of cohesion, nor attraction of gravitation; nor propulsion. It is in itself inert in all particulars. 14. In the beginning of the earth's vortex, the current concentrated certain substances (which will be described later) in the center, where by friction, the vortex manifested in heat, so that when the congregation of materials of the earth's substance were together, they were as a molten mass of fire.13 13. Thus it seems likely that both electromagnetism and quantum phenomena generally may be connected to some sort of hydrodynamics {laws that govern the motion of line vortices} on a microscopic level...the idea that particles formed from vortices in some fluid is certainly worth investigating." The fluid being what is now called the zero point quantum fluctuation, a Lorentz invariant ether. 34. Were the sun planet extinct, the master vortex would instantly make another sun. As the lines of vortexia are in currents from the outer toward the interior, so do the solutions of matter take the shape of needles, in the master, pointing toward the center,19 in which condition of things is called LIGHT;20 and when these needles approach the center, or even the photosphere, the actinic force is called HEAT.21 19. This statement resembles the theory mentioned in "Dark Nebula, Globules and Protostars" page 801 & 802, The polarization of the counterglow is surprising, Pure {i.e.180°} backscattering from randomly oriented irregular, amorphous or spherical particles should give zero polarization. The existence of a marked polarization effect in our observations implies scattering by elongated preferentially oriented particles. Needle like particles are possible,...One is tempted to think of a magnetic field as the arranging agency." "Tapping the Zero-point Energy" by Moray B. King] "...until 1949 no one expected the light of distant stars would become polarized... To produce interstellar polarization in the light of distant stars requires not only a preponderance of somewhat elongated particles in interstellar space, but further, some powerful mechanism to align these particles over great distances. page 201, "There is now little doubt that the particles are aligned mostly by large-scale interstellar magnetic fields." page 202, "It should not be thought that polarization effects are limited to cosmic dust. Shklovsky predicted from theory that strong polarization effects might be expected from very fast moving electrons in magnetic fields of interstellar space." Quantum theory predicts oscillations, with no thermal agitation, at absolute zero, called the zero point energy flux. [i.e. ether] Einstein stated "To deny the ether is ultimately to assume that empty space has no physical qualities whatsoever. The fundamental facts of mechanics do not harmonize with this view. According to the general theory of relativity, space is endowed its physical quality. In this sense, therefore, there exists an ether. According to the theory of relativity, space without ether is unthinkable." In "Lifecloud" by Fred Hoyle & N.C. Wickramsingle on page 84 "...interstellar dust particles must be assumed to have highly elongated shapes-something like needles." 15. Axial velocity belongs to all of them; and the tendency of all of them is to orbits, to which they may or may not attain according to their strength compared to the master.33 33. Articles in Scientific American 3/80, 1/86 &9/88 discuss photographic evidence from probe fly-bys and confirming the axial rotation of comets. 16. When a nebulous planet is sufficiently dense to have its matter polarized, but so that its polarity corresponds to the polarity of the master, it is transparent, and possesses no eclipse power.34 34. i.e. dark matter, the word ji'ay is the name used by Oahspe. 17. But when nebula is polarized transversely, it is a cloud in etherea, with power to eclipse stars; and even to eclipse the sun itself, provided it is within the solar vortex35 35. T25. A complete planetary vortex is a globe or nearly so, and its manifested light like a complete magnet. But in an immature vortex, as in the case of a comet or other small vortex, light will occur at both poles, and sometimes in the middle, if it has attained to power to manufacture light of its own. In some cases the comet or the nebula is not sufficiently dense to produce light of its own, but contains matter in a gaseous state which of itself may have infinitesimal polarities refracting the normal light of the master vortex.37 37. Articles in Scientific American 3/80, 1/86 &9/88 discuss photographic evidence from probes doing fly-bys showing that the surface emits light {apart from the tail or coma} even though they are not burning, as they are comprised in large part of ice particles. On a clear day the needles are linear to the earth, and this is the reason it is a clear day.49 The later direction of the needles may be called direct, and the former indirect. When they are direct, and they fall on a photo-plate, the force of their blows is called actinic force, and it is the same as where they have fallen on an item that has bleached in the sun. 49. In "Dark Nebula, Globules and Protostars" Ed. B. T. Lynds page 444 a paper by K.L. Coulson titled The polarization of light in the environment; "Light to which we are exposed in the environment is in general partially polarized, the degree of polarization varying from as much as 0.70 or more in the light from the cloudless sunlit sky." 53. Consider the rotation of an electron, pulled away from a consequently ionized neon atom in a neon light, as it is attracted to the electrode. This ionization produces a magnetic pulse, and the returning electron deionizes the atom, emitting light; while radiating the energy absorbed from the electrode. Since photons can decay into one electron & one positron [i.e. Leptons, which always appear and vanish in particle-anti-particle pairs] the implication could be that the packets of energy resulting from wave chopping, called photons, have the likelihood of being aligned in polarity i.e. positive to negative and negative to positive and so on ad infinitum. 19. To find the se'muan age (especially of humanity), place his temperature at ninety- eight (for good health), and one hundred and two at inflammation or death. Four below normal will, therefore, be the period of man's inhabitation of the earth. After the vortexian radiation reaches this period, humanity will cease to propagate, and, so, become extinct as to the earth. 20. This gives humanity eight degrees of vortexia as the sum of his existence. One degree is equivalent to twelve million seven hundred and sixty thousand radi c'vorkum.56 qq 56. That is, twenty-four thousand years to the time of completion. Thus, 12,760,000 divided by 260,000 add 1,402 1-2 add 24,000x3=76,750 years, the time of the se'muan age for man. To this should be added one cycle, of, say, three thousand years, which was the beginning of the fall of se'mu. 21. By reversing these measurements, find the axial decrease of the earth in seventy-eight thousand years, which will be just one hundred minutes, or 3-340ths of a second annually, which is the earth's decline in speed. For which reason the first race of humans57 on earth began about seventy-eight thousand years B.K.58 57. M.H.J. Planet X - Myth or Fact? Mathematical irregularities in the orbits of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, have prompted astronomers to search for a large planetary body in the outer solar system. Based on mathematical evidence, astronomers have been so sure of the reality of this planet that they named it Planet X. The name stands for the tenth planet. On June 17, 1982, a NASA press release from Ames Research Center officially recognized the possibility of "some kind of mystery object" beyond the outermost planets. Various press releases around this time confirmed that scientists were indeed looking for the infamous Planet X. Newsweek covered the story of Planet X on June 28, 1982 in an article entitled "Does the Sun Have a Dark Companion?" This article implied that the tenth planet actually orbits a two sun (binary star) system, but we cannot see the other sun because it is a "dark" star. The article stated: "A 'dark companion' could produce the unseen force that seems to tug at Uranus and Neptune, speeding them up at one point in their orbits and holding them back as they pass. The best bet is a dark star orbiting at least 50 billion miles beyond Pluto. It is most likely either a brown dwarf, or a neutron star. Others suggest it is a tenth planet since a companion star would tug at the other planets, not just Uranus and Neptune." The Washington Post covered the story of Planet X on the front page on December 31, 1983 called "Mystery Heavenly Body Discovered." This story reported that the Infrared Astronomical Satellite (IRAS) detected heat from an object about fifty billion miles away. A report of an interview with chief scientist Gerry Neugebauer from Jet Propulsion Laboratories appeared in the story. The article stated: "A heavenly body possibly as large as the giant planet Jupiter and possibly so close to Earth that it would be part of this solar system has been found in the direction of the constellation Orion by an orbiting telescope aboard the U.S. infrared astronomical satellite. 'All I can tell you is that we don't know what it is,' said Gerry Neugebauer, chief IRAS scientist." The Post article went on to explain that this mysterious object has never been seen by optical telescopes on Earth or in space, but its infrared heat signature was detected twice by IRAS as it scanned the northern sky between January and November of 1983. The second infrared observation of the body, which is so cold it casts no light, noted that the body appeared not to have moved in six months. This suggested that the object is not a comet, since it probably would have moved. The article also explained that the infrared telescope aboard IRAS, which is able to detect very cold objects, calculated that the heavenly body was so cold that its temperature is about 459 F below zero. Astronomers suggested it was a "giant gaseous planet, as large as Jupiter," and is so close that "it would be the nearest heavenly body to Earth beyond the outermost planet Pluto." This would make it part of our solar system. The article explained that there had been some speculation that the object "might be moving toward Earth." This article had the following to say about Planet X: In February, 1999, J.B. Murray presented a paper to the Royal Astronomical Society entitled "Arguments for the Presence of a Distant Large Undiscovered Solar System Planet." (). Murray's paper explored various explanations for what he called a "non-random clustering of long-period comets," which his research concluded are "aligned along a great circle inclined to both the elliptic and the Galactic plane." His paper examined the possibility that this non-random clustering was due to "orbital perturbations by an undiscovered object orbiting within the distances of 30,000 to 50,000 au from the Sun." Murray's mathematical modeling predicted that the object would have a retrograde orbit inclined at 120°. In an October 16, 1999 Economist article entitled "X Marks the Spot," Drs. Murray and Matese, after looking at the orbits of approximately 300 long-period comets, have separately concluded that too many of them are coming from the same regions of space. They suggest that the galaxy's "tidal wobble" is "being modulated by the gravity of something big within the Oort Cloud itself." :
